tip, rabbit, bunny, bonding rabbits
...
As my insomnia is giving me more free time to spend viewing the ceiling at the moment, I think it's a good time for some more bunny-rabbit tips and tricks
Don't you just love the picture of two cuddling little bunnies?
It's so cute, innit?
Well, don't be misleaded.
Such scene is only possible to be observed when two bunnies were growing up together, or are naturally born siblings.
When you buy a rabbit, you need to think a while if you want just one rabbit or you may start feeling sorry for him, wondering if he is not lonely there in his cage one day...planning to buy another one if you would start having such thoughts.
Well, be prepared rabbits, especially female rabbits will likely not accept another rabbit at your home, if they have never been growing up together.
It's called teritoriality.
If they get some position at your home as single rabbits, don't be surprised when instead of seeing smiled bunny's face to see new buddy, you're gonna see some teeth.
You can always keep two rabbits in separate cages. Still, this solution is for people having quite lot of space at home, as well as time. You will have to double your time and attention given then.
One must also never forget rabbits need to run and jump around.
If you have one bunny, you can leave his cage open for even all day long. He won't make any mess.
Just make sure there are no cables in reach of his teeth.
Try to let him out in the same environment at all times. The bunny will feel safe this way, not causing much trouble.
If you have two rabbits in one room, make sure they are never out of your sight. You can try bonding them as long as you still see some hope in it.
You have to be extra careful with that though.
Fighting rabbits is something not many people would like to see, believe me.
You can take your rabbit for a walk on a special leash.
Still, it won't be a dog with kinda walk.
You will have to take him to some safe zone, where no other pets can enter.
One mistake and your rabbit can become some dog's potential dinner.
The best place would be your garden or even some little safe space close to your home.
Never let him go off the leash being outdoor.
Once again: it's not a dog.
...and although in many aspects I say it's not a dog, you can teach your rabbit dogs tricks.
I'm serious.
Her Majesty Megi Degi knows few actually.
You can see her chasing the ball on Youtube.
She became famous now
Make your pet someone special too! They deserve it

care, rabbit, bynny, pet
There is always an opportunity to help some poor rabbit who needs rehoming. You will not pay anything for such pet, not more than only with your love, that will pay you back in the future as well for sure.
In my area, there is the Aldwick Pet Shop, experienced in breeding rabbits, also having many rabbits ready for adoption each season. You can come and choose which one you want.
You can find such place in your area online too.
Apart from deciding to have a new pet at home, you need to know how to take care of the bunny.
It won't work if you just plan to put him into a cage and feed him with carrots once in a while.
Rabbits need special diet. They are very delicate creatures. They need special rabbits food ready to buy in pet shops, some hay and fresh fruits and vegetables to enrich the diet.
I hope I don't have to mention about fresh water each and every day...
You must also make sure your rabbit has got a special stick in his cage (there are many flavors available at pet shops: carrot, apple, etc). Rabbits need to work over their teeth by eating such sticks. Rabbits teeth never stop growing.
If they won't get such stick for a while it will cause a huge pain for them. They will have their upper teeth sticked into the lower gum then.
You can't forget about it.
Another thing are rabbits nails. Rabbits nails always grow as well, just like people's nails. You need to cut them once in a while.
It's not a simple thing to do. You can try following online professional advise of how to do it properly or simply visit your vet.
Very important thing you should remember at all times is:
you must never wash your rabbit!!!
Like I have once mentioned, rabbit is not a dog. You cannot wash, shower or bath your bunny.
Rabbits are very clean animals. They always keep themselves clean.
There are exceptions.
...like her majesty Megi Degi that you can see on the photo in the post below.
She is my bunny and she put on weight pretty much recently.
Well, she has never been fit really
What I'm trying to say is, she is not always able to reach some parts of her body that need cleaning.
I need to do it instead.
But never by washing her up.
One can use a bit wet towel or baby wipes until the dust goes away completely
The post will be too long already so let me keep something more for another bunny kinda like update

love, rabbit, bunny, pet
I still have some good people around here so I've decided not to give up on my blogging. I will not be defeated by some mean, evil insects
Have you ever been thinking of having a rabbit? Or maybe you have got one at home already?
There are many things you should know before deciding to become a proud owner of such cute creature.
It all depends from your circumstances. If you have got any other pets at home already. If you have got enough room. If you are ready to pay some attention to someone new at home...and some time too...
First of all, you should decide if you want to take a new born baby bunny or a little older one for adoption.
Both ways are great ways. I've tried each of them and I just love all pets at my home.
Second thing is you have to be prepared that rabbit is not a dog.
If you want to have a dog, take a dog, don't take a bunny.
Bunny have their own way of being. Are more like cats in their behaviour.
They have their moods and the bond between you and your rabbit will grow with time. It's not going to be the love from the first sight, I assure you
You have to deserve for your rabbit's love.
Yes, it's exactly how it happens.
Either the rabbit will give you back his best or his worst, depending how will you treat him and how much love, time and attention he will get from you in the first place.
Although the bond will not appear the first day you both meet, not the first week neither, when it adventually will, it will be the greatest bond you have ever had and nothing will ever spoil it.
There are also many other things you should know, but let me tell you all about it in another post of mine
Till then
