Minggu pagi sampe siang yang mendung,
Banyak yang mau dikerjain, tapi tangung
Bikin ngga tau juntrungan, jadi bingung
ya udah.... akhirnya linglung
weleh weleh...

Gila...! Memang sudah gila apa yang terjadi di negeri ini. Hampir semua kejahatan dilakukan secara berjamaah, termasuk 6 operator seluler (Exelcomindo, Telkomsel, Telkom, Bakrie Tel, Mobile-8, dan Smart Com) yang secara bersama-sama bersekongkol membohongi, menipu, sekaligus memeras masyarakat dengan menetapkan tarif sms yang tidak fair alias kelewat mahal dan merugikan konsumen trilyunan rupiah selama bertahun-tahun.

Praktek seperti ini tidak ada bedanya dengan geng mafia, alias kelompok penjahat yang seharusnya diganjar dengan hukuman kriminal berat (bukan hanya denda seperti yang diberitakan di media). Kasus ini sama saja dengan eksploitasi terhadap rakyat, apalagi kondisi ekonomi rakyat lagi susah. Sama seperti menjajah negeri sendiri. Saya khawatir, jangan-jangan operator-operator seperti ini memang bukan bangsa kita, atau para kapitalis dan penjajah era postmodern yang ingin merampok di negerinya sendiri. Jadi, sudah seharusnya penegak hukum menangkap dan memenjarakan orang-orang yang dinyatakan bertanggung jawab terhadap kasus ini.
Ini sudah tidak bisa ditolerir lagi!
Mereka antek-antek kolonialis...!

More than a month, I feel like living on a rolly coaster...dizziness...rolling...spinning... even feel falling down when i open my eyes.

Initially, a doctor said that my eyes were exhausted and needed to take a rest (yes i used too much internet with my eyes!). She gave me sleeping pills, because I got insomnia as well. For a moment, my friend (she is also a medical doctor) judged me... "i am worry you get brain cancer!" Oh god!!... No...no...no...
Another friend (he is also a medical doctor) said... "it could be associated with your high colesterol".
Three doctors, three different diagnosis... Then, what kind of medicine should I take?
So confusing! and make my disease worse and worse because of confused...

Finally, blood test indicated another disease related to my liver... And treatment has been taken according to blood test result. For two weeks, there is no significant result as I feel. My dizziness often remains on my head.

I am still curious what really happen with my head is. Is that any relation between cirrocis hepatis and vertigo?
Oh my vertigo, please go...away.

Does Supplier-Induced Demand exist in health services in your country?

Assumming that the key point is what we call as “asymmetry information”. So the answer could be either “Yes” or “No”. I think that another important factor is about the morality and behavior of the doctor (health provider).

Considering that there is no supplier-induce demand existing in health care services as long as patients would choose “if they had available the same information and knowledge as the doctor”. It could non-induce demand if the doctor able to give explanation to the patient as well and giving the many option related to treatment, so that the patient could decide whether he or she will take that treatment. For example, at the some private hospital, the doctor or other health provider often explain obviously about patients’ disease; give information about how the appropriate treatment should be taken?; how long the patient should stay in a hospital?; what kind of medicine should be taken or does any other option of medicine?; what will happen if the patient takes one treatment or another treatment? Obviously, if the patient can get clearly information and he or she agree with those circumstances, there is no supplier-induce demand, because patients believe that there is no one had forced them. But, if we look further and further, all kinds of effort to convince the patient is not far from “high profit” intention. There are very often doctor exploits patients because of the patients’ ignorance. Some private hospital often provide a luxury room – instead of hotel --beyond the patient’s ability in order to get as high as possible of profit. So, it will be turned to the moral and behavior of health provider.

On the other hand, because of doctor determining all efforts which need to be conducted for healing the patient, so demand of health is not defined by patient but by doctor. There is no symmetry of information in health care with respect to the supply side and the demand side. These situations often push what we called as supply-induce demand (SID). It means that health service provider (doctor) can force the usage of abundant service, not fit with the appropriate standard, and patient in limitation of understanding surrender at induction usage of abundant and unnecessary health service because it will profitable of economic side to the doctor.

Mostly, health providers tend to exploit patient, even for poor people. For instance, when poor people (without having health card) get illness and go to the hospital, usually they intend to get the third class of hospital room because they do not have too much money to afford for higher class. But, hospital officer often not allow the patient to take that room. A common reason is that all third class of hospital rooms have already fully book. Furthermore, health provider offers the higher class; and the patients have no choice to take the higher class, otherwise they can not get any medical treatment. Also for outpatient, doctor often suggest for up visit (more than one visit), and patients have no more choice, otherwise to come and come again to see the doctor.

Other example, having health insurance could give a chance to the doctors to do moral hazard as a normal person does. In order to get as high as possible of profit, they often do excessive number of medical test, even unnecessary surgery because the patient will not pay anything and all of the costs of health care will be covered by insurance. This moral hazard tends to increase SID.

One day we chatted about our own culture. A friend said that to be polite when we give something is using our both hands. And I replied that, in our culture, to be polite is using our right hand. People will be angry or insulted if we give something with our left hand (though we left-handed people).

Responding what I said, my Vietnamese friend said: "Hey guy... I want to give you 100,000 baht, but with my left hand, coz my right one is busy with mobile phone..."

I replied: "Whatever the way you give, giving money to me never be impolite...hehe..."

This movie portrays the concept of bisexual, queer, sexual fluidity, and its phenomena. Queer theory pushed even further, arguing that sexual identities, desires, and categories are fluid and dynamic. Using the certain place (Wyoming) and time (1963), the author was intending to show that this kind of relationship (bisexual) has been occurring since along time ago at the very traditional society. According to the movie, fluidity of identity changeover from heterosexual to homosexual and homosexual to heterosexual and so forth, according to time and space – when they get together in Brokeback Mountain and when the get married. Subsequently, it was changing over again when they met each other again after 4 years. Fluidity of desires is also the same thing. They got desires with the same sex when they stay together on the hill. But, Ennis can get desire also with their wives. Jack was interested to young lady when he hung out in the bar, and later on they were married.

Although bisexual have played an important part of their lives, they often have had to hide their bisexuality because of a lack of acceptance from society because of social stigmatization. For example, when Ennis was young, his father has ever showed him a dead body in the ditch. Actually, he was killed by some body because their society does not accept him as a queer.

‘Sexual rights are a fundamental element of human rights”. Sexual rights also include the freedom to choose, when, how, and with whom to be sexually active and engage in sexual relations with full consent. Thus, regarding bisexuals, society should not judge them based upon the assumption that homosexuality is a mental disorder or based upon the a priori assumption that a patient should change his/her sexual homosexual orientation. In this movie, both Ennis and Jack cannot achieve their sexual rights because not only society does not accept that kind of relationship but also Ennis’ wife does not accept Ennis’ relationship with Jack.

According to this movie, for sexual health issues, Jack and Ennis were not only have sex between both of them but also having sex with their wives. We do not know whether either Jack or Ennis got STI. But, if so, it will spread to their wives. We know that Jack has ever have sex with sex worker in Mexico, so he is possible of getting STI. Moreover, there was no scene mentioned about using condom during their sexual activities.
Related to gender and health, women are suffering because of men’s attitude to put women as subordinate. Actually, it is not only physical health but also mental health toward women. In this movie, it is clear that both their wives are victim of their husband. Especially Jack’s wife, she never knows that her husband has other partner outside. On the other hand, related to gender role and power relation, all activities that Ennis wants to do seem never consider about his wife. He put her wife as his subordinate. He will do whatever he wants to do. For example, we can notice the way he bring his two daughters and enters the grocery store where Alma works. He gives them to his wife and goes somewhere.

Entah apa yang ada di benak bangsa ini yang serba semrawut, acak adul, semaunya sendiri, saling cela, dan yang jelek-jelek lainnya.
Ya rakyatnya, ya pemimpinnya, semuanya sudah tidak lagi bisa membedakan mana yang baik, mana yang halal, mana yang tidak memalukan. Keblinger...kalau orang bilang "cari yang haram aja susah,apalagi yang halal", itu memang menjadi atmosfer yang jelas bisa dirasakan, apalagi di kota-kota besar. Adu jotos dan caci maki sudah menjadi pemandangan yang wajar di tengah sidang anggota dewan yang katanya terhormat. Bikin video mesum oleh anggota dewan yang terhormat menjadi trend biar ngga dibilang "gaptek" dengan handphonenya. Apalagi, korupsi....semakin bergeser nilainya menjadi perbuatan yang biasa.
Memang, rakyat salah, tapi mereka tidak bisa sepenuhnya disalahkan. Wong para pemimpinnya ngasih contohnya seperti itu. Kita sudah tidak punya lagi sosok yang patut kita jadikan sebagai panutan.

Makna "democracy" yang didapat dari perjuangan bangsa yang katanya perlu reformasi berubah menjadi "democrazy". Artinya, semua orang boleh sebebas-bebasnya melakukan apasaja, walaupun harus membunuh, memaksa, dan sesukunya, yang semuanya akan mengorbankan orang lain.

Sementara rakyat kurang makan, gizi buruk, busung lapar, jadi korban bencana alam berhari-hari, berbulan-bulan, bertahun-tahun.... eh...para pemimpin berjamaah berkorupsi ria. Hey pemimpin... jadi jangan salahkan kalau rakyatmu jadi maling, copet, rampok...apalagi??? lha wong perut mereka lapar. Mereka hanya berfikir sederhana... butuh makan!!!
Saya memang agak gila, tapi sekali lagi jangan salahkan mereka, karena "salah" dan "benar" itu tergantung dari perspeksif mana dan siapa yang melihat, serba "socially constructed".

Coba lihat....seorang jaksa yang seharusnya menjadi harapan terhadap keadilan, ternyata doyan suap (soalnya guedeee banget coy!! ). Mafia peradilan seperti ini sudah sangat kronis. Jadi ya susah sembuhnya, apalagi kalau virusnya sudah mengalami mutasi gen, alias berubah modus operandinya (misalnya, jual beli berlian).

Reformasi? Gimana mau menjadikan negeri ini terhormat, kalau hobi korupsi masih merajalela dimana-mana. Ngga ada yang bisa dibanggakan dari negeri yang katanya sangat kaya ini. Coba...apa yang masih tersisa untuk dibanggakan. Dulu, paling tidak, kita mampu beli beras walau gaji kita pas-pasan. Dulu, paling tidak, kita selalu bangga setiap menjelang event piala thomas, uber, atau all england. Eh... kemarin, tak satupun penghargaan itu bisa dibawa pulang. Dulu, paling tidak, kita bisa sekolah walaupun kaki "nyeker". Sudahlah, jangan lagi bilang kalau kita ini bangsa yang santun, beradab dan bermartabat.

Buat apa ada DPR yang seharusnya menjadi aspirasi rakyat kalau mereka hanya menjual nama rakyat untuk kepentingan sendiri. Apalagi mendekati momen Pemilu yang nota bene merupakan momen yang maha penting untuk ngatur strategi untuk mendapatkan posisi. Wuaahh, pada berlomba-lomba bikin partai (yang belum punya partai), Lalu, yang sudah exist dengan partainya, berselingkuh dengan partai lain untuk memuluskan pencapaian "nafsu" nya. Maka itu, saya cenderung memilih kata "political promiscuity" untuk menyebut partai-partai yang tidak malu-malu lagi gonta-ganti pasangan seperti ini. Walaupun dulu katanya musuh bebuyutan!!!

Kesimpulan saya (sementara ini), buat apa ada Pemilu untuk memilih para pemimpin-pemimpin bangasa kalau setelah terpilih mereka lupa dan meninggalkan rakyatnya. Kalau kita mau disebut rakyat yang waras... mari !!! ngga usahlah kita nyoblos nyoblosan... Ini democracy juga lho. HAM...HAM...HAM... hidup HAM... Setuju???????
