What is Noida Extension?

Noida extension is Sector 1 to Sector 16 of Greater Noida, it is also names as Greater Noida West. These area are around 4-5 kms from Sector 121, Noida, i.e. the road from Sector 121 would pass over Hindon river and reach Sector 1 to 16 in Greater Noida. The bridge over Hindon is ready. These sectors in Greater Noida are around 7-8 kms from Noida city center.

Noida Extension is the unofficial name given to areas adjoining Noida. As of late 2012, plans are being formed to rename it to Greater Noida(West). This area was primarily envisioned to provide planned housing for about a million middle and upper middle class citizen in the NCR region.
