Hi folks,yes you really read correctly. I am still alive.
Nineteen years ago today - I'm still 12 years old - Günter Schabowski announced that every citizen of the GDR (German Democratic Republic)can leave the country. It has happened a lot of things (good and bad things) in nineteen years.
If I look back then I'm so happy to live in an United Germany (German Democratic Republic + Federal Republic of Germany). Could you imagine that I had got to queue to get oranges, bananas or chocolate marshmallow? But it's true.
