Disclaimer: This entry was not intend to ask you to involve in this MARKETIVA but only to show you how I get this streamster client working with my ubuntu.

Marketiva as the site said

Here how the way I get it working with my ubuntu 9.04

First thing you should have this things.

Ubuntu 9.04 (not sure with other release/distro, tested only with ubuntu)
Pre-installed Crossover version 7.10
Microsoft true type fonts (sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer)
Internet connection (to download all dependencies needed by crossover)

1. Run your crossover, then install Internet Explorer 6. It will also download all dependencies needed. This will create a default Windows 98 bottle environment.

2. Then run the Streamster.exe within the bottle (windows 98). Then an error message from streamster installer will appear to ask you to download DSCLIENT.exe to support encryption connection for Windows 98.

3. Quit the installer and download the DSCLIENT.exe.

4. Install the DSCLIENT.exe within windows 98 bottle then continue installing with Streamster.exe.

5. Finish. Then log in to your account and test it.

duduk area mane? kalau dekat dgn ampang/pandan mewah datang bawak pendrive saje.

sekarang crossover dah keluar version 8.

yesterday i started MT$ platform from Broco company and it runs in wine 1.1.33 on Ubuntu 9.10 but only when i type in shell wine terminal.exe from menu not working today i started to search web for some solution to start streamster from marketiva but found only your howto but i started instalation with no errors and after login i got soem windows error window so i started to search web for this file DSCLIENT.exe but as i remember this file is for active directories and cant be installled :( in wine windows xp or 2000 eweven fi wine is set upo for win98 thereis soem errrors .

can you send me info about this file and some settitng of your wine ?

Did you running Meta Trader 4 from Broco with wine? Of course it is not working.

SOLUTION=>
You need to copy a native windows MFC42.DLL to /home/your user name/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/system32. You can download it here http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?mfc42. I'm running MT4 from fxopen with my ubuntu 9.10.

As for streamster client (marketiva), my tutorial can only be done with Crossover v.7.10. not wine.

However you can try to download the DSCLIENT.EXE here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/288358. Then set your wine to emulate win98. I've no luck to run streamster client with Wine.

mt4 is working fine but a little slow when start to close positions but all goes good and i installed vbrun dlls witch i got for some old games like civilization or something that need this dll's for win98 and mt4 is working good but only when i lunch it from console not from menu :( and now i already downloaded that dscclient but wine says that it cant recognize this msi and even if i changed it to exe it says that is it not valid exe file so cant install it :( and of course i changed wine to w98 and i try to use streamer installation and all goes good but still cant connect
