Father and his son

, , , ...

I love the small stories my father used to tell us during family prayer time. They had much knowledge and education if you look deep into it; a good example of one of these stories goes like this.

A father used to tell his son every time. “Son, remember, whatever you do God is always watching you, whatsoever you are doing son.” Without knowing if you train a child in the way s/he will go s/he will not depart from it. One sunny day, as the son and father were taking a walk, it happened that they got really hungry, from the many miles they had walked. They kept walking to add more miles to their journey back home; luckily they found a mango tree in someone’s farm.

So the dad said, “Son I don’t think we should keep going like this, we can get at least two fruits from this tree to feel refreshed for the journey.” “I will climb up and get the fruits, while you look out to see if the owner is coming.” “I don’t want to get caught.” The son agreed, and the father removed his shoes so he can have more grip on the bark of the tree as he climbed.

He pulled himself to the top of the tree, sat on a branch and started throwing down mangoes down, for himself and his son. After the third mango hit the ground, the son remembered something, he shouted, “Dad! Dad! He is watching you.” The father was quick to get up from his comfortable branch and started coming down the tree as fast as he could, asking, “Where is he? Where is he?”
He twist his ankle jumping down, took his shoes and started running with the son, not knowing where he was being watched from.

After fifteen minutes of running, they stopped and he asked again, panting so hard “phew! Son, that was close, where was he watching from?” and the son replied, “From the sky.” the father was confused, “What do you mean from the sky?” The son replied, “You don’t get it? God was watching from up, you always say He is.”

Deal Justly With Everyone!

There once were two best friends who lived in a poor third world country and one of them flew out to continue with his studies abroad in a successful first world country, while the other remained in his home country and continued with his studies there, he got a degree in Architecture and started his own firm but was not so successful.
So as the years went on the other guy who had gone abroad came back and he was successful and rich so he looked for his old friend and they reunited and exchanged stories about how their lives have been. On learning that his friend was an architect he said to him why don’t you build me a house a good big beautiful mansion in a nice area so his friend agreed and him knowing that his friend knew nothing about building he decided that this is his ‘GOD given opportunity’ to get rich like his friend.
So he decided in his heart that he will just buy the cheap materials and everything at half price and not tell his friend about it he built the house knowing that it will not stand for long even though it was a big and beautiful mansion on the outside it was a weak and useless building on the inside, and he had taken most of the money in his pocket.
And the day came when he was to present to his friend the new house and when they had walked through all the rooms and were standing outside looking at the house his friend took the keys of the house gave them back to his Architect friend and said, “Friend I went abroad and became so successful and now am a multi millionaire with more than enough money and after listening to your story that you were still struggling and had not made as much as I have made in life I decided that I should give you this house so here are the keys” the architect was so shocked and got so weak that his legs could not support him, his friend thought that he was just too surprised with the excitement of getting the house but the real feeling was that he was disappointed with the way he built the house thinking it will be for someone else only for it to turnout to be his, he was disappointed that thinking he was doing injustice to someone else to benefit himself it was just him doing injustice to himself, he was disappointed that he was receiving a good house that will not last for long and if he knew he would have built a stronger house that would last and lastly he was disappointed that he had betrayed a good friendship and he felt so unworthy to receive even a useless house like that from his friend
Moral of the story Do unto others as you would like them do unto you, love your neighbor as you love yourself and always deal justly with everyone even when they do not know or understand what is going on for GOD sees and knows when we have dealt justly and unjustly with our neighbors, friends or family whatever is put to your hands to do, do it with all your heart like it is your own
