3 Day Halloween Extravaganza

If it weren't for all the candy and creepy gory stuff that comes with it, I think this holiday would be runner up for my favorite. What's not to love about meeting your neighbors, dressing your children up like they've always wanted to look, and enjoying the many things fall has to offer? Here are our 3 day highlights.
Oct. 30: Playing with friends on the hay bale maze at the pumpkin patch.

Oct. 31: Preschool Halloween party at our house. (Whew, what a mess that many kids can make!!!) Plus, yummy monster toes to snack on. (SO good -- they tasted a lot like fresh pretzels. Mmmmm...) Then trick-or-treating, of course. (Thanks, Anna and Andrew for the Japanese outfit -- I think it's going strong here on year 2!)
Nov. 1: The great candy exchange. Paul says, "Anna, you want 'dis one? I twade you." Anna responds, "Uh, I think that one's my favorite. Do you want this one instead." Paul, "Oh. Shuh. I wove 'dat one!" Oh, candy. How do you please my children so much more easily than I can please my children?

I am glad to still see the red table and chairs! I used to do the "trading game" with eater and halloween candy too growing up! Glad to see it lives on!

ha ha! i love the fact that you wrote everything out that Paul said in his spelling way of pronouncing words-i could practically hear him! it's so true about candy though! we had an assembly at school today and they talked about a fundraiser we're doing where they sell wrapping paper, candy, games, and other various things, and when playing a recall game the lady said that 90% of the kids always said candy first as one of the items they're selling. go figure! but hey, once a kid, always a kid. i know i love candy still!

Hey! thanks for the comment on my blog. Tried to comment on these adorable halloween pictures last week, but couldn't for some reason. I LOVE the little tiger outfit on Paul and Anna is adorable as ever in her princess and Japanese outfits! I think I've got another princess on my hands here. Scarlett has already really taken to the Disney princess stuff. The sight of it gets her SO excited! Hope yall are faring well in that Minnesota winter. It's still summer down here! 78 and sunny today! Sometimes I do wish it was a tad cooler...something to make me think Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I wouldn't trade you though :o)
