Where are mine?

About a month ago, I had a sweet little girl scout come to my door. Dream come true! That hasn't happened to me since I was a teenager living with my parents. And it certainly didn't happen living in an apartment complex in Boston. But I guess with every respectable neighborhood of homes comes a respectable girl scout. And believe me, she was successful at my house. Probably because that little baby growing inside of me made EVERYTHING sound disgusting to eat EXCEPT for her solicited cookies. So, yes, I ordered 7 boxes from her. She said she'd bring them at the end of February. No sign of her yet. But still, my craving lingers and lingers... Where are those cookies?

How frustrating...to buy 7 boxes of a fabulous treat that only comes once a year through only once specified source...and they are not delivered as promised. Those cookies aren't cheap anymore either! They're delicious, and you've been waiting so long...I totally feel for you!
Oh, congrats on the new pregnancy!

Melanie!! I am so happy for you. Congrats on the new baby! How are you feeling!?
Love you.

Congrats, Melanie! There's nothing like a box of thin mints to start feeling REALLY good! Hope they come soon! Yay!

Melanie! Am I the last to hear about this exciting development? (No, not the imminent arrival of Girl Scout cookies--although that's exciting too. I'm talking about the other exciting development!) Congratulations!! xoxox, ML

So this is your way of spilling it huh. How far are you? I just ate two boxes all by myself. If I oredered 7 i would instantly be fat. I am a sucker for them!

ooh, I don't think it is looking good. Our Girlscout cookies arrived a month ago. Good Luck and raise a stink.
I am excited for your growing family (and belly.)

YOU'RE PREGNANT! Congratulations! I love Fillmores, I'm glad there will be more of you! Everyone at my last rotation had all these girl scout cookies lately, and I was feeling very sad that I missed the ordering part and was only there for the delivery part. Sigh.

Melanie, Congrats on the baby! Is this your announcement to everyone? Or did I miss something? Hope to talk to you soon.

Thin Mints and Samoas. They are laced with addictive goodness. It is the slow attempt at mind control by the Girl Scouts.
They have me right where they want me.
May you shine during your pregnancy! :)

Wow, congratulations! When are you due? Good luck with the cookies. This year I ordered only 3 boxes: thin mints, samoas and the new leche cookies.

Congrats on the baby news! If those cookies don't arrive soon, try some double stuff oreos...that always seems to heal what ails me...unfortunately!
Anonymous # 12. March 2009, 22:06
Did you ever get your cookies?
Anonymous # 22. March 2009, 21:56
Melanie,
CONGRATS!! So happy for you! Sorry I am so late in sending my well wishes. I just never seem to get around to checking blogs anymore. So glad I checked yours today though. Hope you've gotten your cookies by now and the thin mints are settling that stomach of yours. I doubt there's anything better than thin mints. Baby better like it!
Congrats again. Another Fillmore in the world is good news!

Congrats on the developing new Fillmore! How exciting! And the only thing I've found that makes me as happy as Girl Scout cookies is Girl Scout cookie ice cream! We are moving to Brooklyn in June where Matt will do an endo residency and I will study more piano. Not sure our brains work like they used to (blame it on the kids!) but we're up for a new adventure. I hope the residents there don't do the male hair-bonding thing - that is too funny!

New Baby? Me too, how far along are you? I hear you on the cookies!!!!

Hurrah for another adorable Fillmore! There's a perfect German saying for the cookie situation, but I'm not so sure how well it would translate into English. Just know that Germans everywhere feel for you. :)
