Opera Modern Logos

, ,

I noticed that most of the time you can see only one or two variations of Opera logo in fan-art. I was wondering: how else could Opera logo appears. Well, here's what I've got!

P.S.: all logos are in vector format

Yup! I've sent this link to Espen. Wanna know what he's thinking about it...

One more: the color of gold appears too brown for me now... Anyway: which one is your favourite? 8)

So, here's the sources of this logos (~200 Kb, zip).

To open them you need Adobe Illustrator CS3 (or higher). I'm not sure if they could be opened in the previous versions. They also can be imported into the Photoshop CS3 document and scaled to any size.

I've used blur filter there for the shadow. If resized a lot it could affect in pixel blocking (it's PS filter inside of Illustrator). So you should either adjust it right at the Appearance panel or just delete it there.

Anyway, the method I've used to create this logos is very simple. I've made all of them in about 20 minutes. You can try to do your own: add blicks, texture etc. Whatever you want.
Post links to your works in the comments here 8)

I am in Linux now, so can't have a look at the originals. But I think the silver one will look really stylish on a black or dark grey or dark blue background. The black one is really cool too. But there is something dull about the light on it. The lines are so straight and thin compared to the others.

On a side note, can Adobe Illustrator export to SVG? Do they still look as cool if you export them?

Thanks for sharing,

The black one with a straight blicks and shadows lines is just sketch. Like any other. Just a simple look at how it could be  I wanted it to appear like the light source is on top of it... But the shadow and other things... Eeh! :frown:

Yup, AI can export to SVG. I'll do it tomorrow, cause 1) there's some blending modes were used (haven't thought about export etc) and 2) i'm a bit drunk with a beer :D I'll post it tomorrow. Maybe even make some changes there. Especially to that brown gold :D

Here's more variations of previous pack but with more bleeding layers. They used to create effect of blick, shadows and inner texture or reflection. It makes object look like it has volume.

Maybe some items aren't as good as in previous pack, but it's just another vision. Maybe someone will love this one more

And SVG version of the first pack. The Opera Fire logo looks poor in SVG because of the bleeding mode. It's hard to get this effect without it.

Green-Juicy is my favourite! It's much better with this lighter outline! I find this Silver too "desturbing"

I would choose orange or green one!

By the way... where is PINK?
