RAMBO'S WORLD

My 2009

Today is the last day of lunar year. I’m going to welcome a new tiger year. This is the time to look back and see what I achieved and what I failed to do this year. Achievements give me proud and motivate me to make greater steps. However, failure is more important. Why? Because “failure is the mother of success”. Failure gives me lessons - impressive lessons - that I can never forget. Each failure is a precious experience that I can gain from no one but me.
To say candidly, there are not many events happened this year and achievements are dominant. bigsmile
As I said above, “failure is the mother of success” , these achievements are the result of many “impressive lessons” that I “learnt” 2 years before ( I will tell my story sometime). Now, I won’t give no more circumlocution and focus on the list mentioned above.
Here are achievements: (no order)
1. I give myself 9 points about being a good monitor. Honestly, my class is very important to me. Three years in high school, we have become intimate and we loved each other brotherly. Of course, a lot of problems had appeared at first year but we solved it after that. At the senior year, we spent a lot of time together: attending sport competition in school, visiting our teachers’ home at Teacher’s Day, making and selling food at Spring Camp and earning a lot of money,… I’m a leader of a class and also a leader in these activities. I’m nothing without all of my friends but I feel proud to be a good connector. I help them to realize that we are a family and we help each other to make become stronger.
2. Another accomplishment is some prizes that got from my school to region.
+ A prize in writing. I wrote a essay and the topic was “ Writing about your teacher and how you love him/her”. I won the first prize in my school for the essay about my Mathematics teacher. He really changes my viewpoint about the world and I showed all my real thought about him with no plagiarism. I got the 1st prize and I was very happy.
+ 2nd Prize at “ Solving mathematics by calculator high school student” at my school. This prize gives me a chance to study Mathematics deeper with some famous teachers in my school. Moreover, 4 other students in school team are very friendly and they help me a lot in spite they are boys. I also thank them for their anecdotes which really help me out of stress whenever I got stuck in Mathematics.
+ 3rd Prize at “ Solving mathematics by calculator for high school student” at Southern Viet Nam competition. Before that, I had been chosen after a competition at my city. I was one of the top five students who were chosen to compete at the region competition. At first, I was a little bit disappointed because I got the lowest score of the five. However, I realized that I was the only girl in the team and I’m so proud about that. During two months of the advanced course, I spent all my time studying mathematics and got better. Finally, I got 46/50 at the competition and was the only one in High school Mathematics Team who got the prize.
I was very proud about myself because finally I could prove to myself that “ You can do everything if only you really try and put on your mind what you do”
3. After getting the result from the University entrance examination, surprisingly I got the highest score (24,5/30) at my major (Foreign Trade) at Can Tho University- the biggest city at Mekong Delta.
I was surprised because I spent all time to study Mathematics for the competition and less time for other subject. I was sure that I could pass the examination but this good result was out of my prediction.
4. Traveling to Da Lat 2 times with my friends with no tour, no guide . We had to plan everything: where to live, where to visit and what to do. It’s really hard for those students like us but the result was worthwhile. We had happy time together: we could visit everywhere and do everything we wanted without control and limit. The cool air in Da Lat brought us energy to do many activities. My memory about this trip is full of fun and happiness, especially the feeling about freedom.
