My cat Shiva is a peculiar one. We found him years ago in our backyard, where he lurked, occasionally begging for food. He has a bad eye. We took him in. And he has proved since then to be a very myseterious and bizarre creature. His favorite pastimes include sleeping, sunbathing, sleeping, eating, sleeping, sitting in window sills, and attacking the dog at any given moment. His favorite spot to sleep is on paper. Notebooks, newspapers, scetchbooks...Also, the chair in the living room is his favorite. Shiva also loves the girls. Washu and Zakuro. They might bug him at first, snuggling up to him and purring so loud the neighbor next door could hear, but he greets them with a hard munch on their head anyway. When he's caught alone, however, he likes getting cozy with, yes, the blankets. He's secretly in love with them. He'll take a part in his mouth and start chewing. Then he purrs, and starts kneading it. His eyes (the one you can see, really) always look serious and fixed, but then, of course, a pesky human comes along and tears the blanket away from him. He usually looks like he's ready to kill after that. Good thing we had him declawed.
Shiva is also the source of many mysteries in the house, such as: Who ate the last of the canteloupe? Why does Tiamat seem so paranoid today? Why is the plant dying? And so on. But we love him anyway. Underneath that black, fluffy exterior is a....well, I'm not sure I want to know. But he's a sweet guy when he wants to be. Very shifty. Very much a loner.......And fluffy.
