In contradiction with http://doc.slitaz.org/en:devnotes:xorgserver-user which seems to state that lower numbered files in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d have priority, you should edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-evdev.conf and comment the entry related to the touchpad.
#Section "InputClass" # Identifier "evdev touchpad catchall" # MatchIsTouchpad "on" # MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*" # Driver "evdev" #EndSection
Be sure that you have a synaptics-branded touchpad device :
grep syna /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Be sure that xorg-xf86-input-synaptics package is installed :
tazpkg -l | grep syna
You also may have to modify /etc/X11/xorg.conf :
Section "Module" Load "synaptics" EndSection
Log out (to restart Xorg).
