Anyone Wondering?

Anyone been wondering about my favourite music group, Salvador? I found them on YouTube! The video below is one of my favourites. Enjoy!

I just bliss out when I hear them. Can't sit still!!!!!!!

Yo danso como David!

Drop Zone

My husband has signed up for the Drop Zone.

On 17 Sept, he will (hopefully) rappel down the side of a 20 story office building for the benefit of the Easter Seals charity for children.

He needs to raise $1500.00 (CAD) in donations to be eligible to actually participate. He's got a long way to go before he meets the goal.

Hopefully I can borrow a digital movie camera so I can tape it and post it. If not, our digital camera will do a 40 second video - no sound, though.

If anyone is interested in sponsoring him, please let me know, and I'll send you the link to his profile/donation page.

TWO MORE SLEEPS!!

,

Well, life is getting exciting for me. It's very early Tuesday morning and I just can't seem to sleep. My husband called me with his flight details. He'll be back Wednesday afternoon.

Man! I've got so much I have to do! Tidying, cooking, finding gifts that I've been accumulating for him over the summer, figure out what to wear, etc.

I think I'd better make some herbal tea & get some sleep so I can be up early this morning.

My Man

This is what I saw when my husband came home today.

He was sworn in to the Canadian Reserves on 20 February, but didn't receive his 'kit' (uniform, etc.) until today because that is done elsewhere and an appointment had to be made.

After he came inside with his HUGE bag full of stuff, he and our son started exploring the contents. Our little guy didn't quite know what to think of it.

To be honest, I don't know where he finds the courage to embark on this journey, but he loves it and I wouldn't keep him from it. He has fond memories of his days in the Air Cadets and up until now has not wanted to re-enlist. When he filed his application last year, something had beckoned to him, "now is the time".

Of course, this means that my life will change radically too. I've never been on my own for any great length of time. I think the longest was when he had his surgery in 1991 and was in hospital for about a week. Now I'll be on my own with a toddler for the odd weekend, and sometimes a few weeks when he has to go away for training.

I have done a lot of thinking, searching, and praying about it, and have come to the decision that I will use it as an opportunity to become a little more independent, and learn a few more things about living.

I love you, Sweetie!

IT HAS STARTED!

Well, it's started - the last most intense part of the wait for baby.

Alix went into labour tonight. We are filled with anticipation!
