About me

The last few years I have gotten into photography, and in 2006 I bought my first DSLR. I'm still an amateur when it comes to photography though... My Opera is a place for me to share my computer interests, photography and web design hobbies. I don't consider my music a hobby, but since this is my about page and I have spent most of my life playing music, I thought I would share some song clips and info.

Currently my Brother Todd and I, and our old bandmates, Andy Milstead and Jim Mayfield are rehearsing in Andy's garage. We are trying to get a new band up and running. We tried a couple times in the past couple years, but we've had a few roadblocks along the way. Hopefully everything works out this time, and hopefully we can come up with a cool band name before we play out... :) We are just now working on our sets and we haven't recorded anything yet, but you can check out a few mp3's from an old demo we recorded. The Getaways

Before I was in The Great Divide, I was in a local band here in Ohio with my brother Todd Aills, Andy Milstead, and Paul Vernier called The Getaways. About 10 years ago we recorded a demo on a multi-track cassette recorder. It sounded a bit 80-ish and a little ametuerish, but the overdone effects helped cover up the crappy recording gear we used. Anyway, here are some songs from the demo that you can download. The first 3 songs were written and sung by me, the last was written and sung by Andy.
