I really hope that Opera adds a search suggestions feature soon. I don't use it all the time, but it is definitely a useful feature. I searched Google and could not find anything on how to get the code to add a Google search box with Suggestions to a Widget, Panel, or anything.

So, not finding any information on how to add Google's Search Suggest to Opera, I played around with some of the Google homepage code and came up with something that works in Opera as a panel. Here is a screenshot:



I notice that a lot of people are customizing Google in one way or another, so hopefully what I have done will not get me in trouble with Google...

If anyone else wants the above Panel for Opera, download the zip file below. First save and unzip the files into a directory of your choosing. Then open the file, google.html in Opera. Once you have opened the file, bookmark it (Ctrl + D), when the bookmark dialog opens, click the Details >> button, then check the checkbox next to Show in panel and click OK.
