Ratings, Comments, Feedback - Oh my!

Before I start a working session on my extension, I usually check its download page first. Partly to see if anyone has reported issues on that page, but mostly as an ego boost. It's fun seeing how many people have tried out your extension. Of course, there's no indication of how many still use it after a few days
I see the download count is past 1200 now, and that puts a smile on my face. Only 4 ratings though, and that number hasn't changed since v1.0. I used to think that was a very low ratio, until I did some checks. I'm sharing some numbers here with you of some extensions that I use:
<Extension>: <ratings> / <downloads> = <ratio>
Video Focus: 4 / 1207 = 0.33%
Weather Forecast: 140 / 210,022 = 0.07%
Translator: 114 / 225,983 = 0.05%
Download Media Bar: 98 / 310,646 = 0.03%
Quite small, wouldn't you say? Considering it's really just the click of a mouse to give a rating, I'm surprised at the very low ratio for the other extension listed above - I think each one is gold.
As an Opera user, I think it's important to rate extensions you've tried so other users have an idea of what's good and really worth their time to check out. As a developer, I'd imagine that just having ratings will get you noticed more easily than if you had few or no ratings. It's also very nice to have a feel for what people think about your work.
Is it unrealistic as a developer to expect more than 1% of users to rate your extensions? I'm not even talking about posting comments - that takes way more time for a user to do. I don't think it's too much for us to ask. But at the same time, I know it's a pain in the butt to do.
My take on it: the reason it's hard to get around to is because Opera doesn't provide an easy way to rate extensions. First you have to go to the extension website, find the extension, log in, and then you can rate it. When you look at the entire process to rate an extension, it doesn't look so easy & quick anymore.. Opera should implement a new feature in its "Manage Extensions" interface that makes rating & commenting easier for users. Sure, there is a "Get more extensions" button already within that page, but it just takes you to the repository - you still have to search out the extension to rate/comment from there.
How about a rating/comment interface built right into the Manage Extensions page? If you're already signed into Opera Link, then perhaps Opera can pass these credentials along so you can give your feedback without having to sign into the extensions website. At the very least, why not provide a link that goes directly to each extension's download/feedback page?
Having this built-in to the browser would make it so much easier for all of us to provide ratings & comments for the extensions we use, and that is a Good Thing.
