I'm entering the blogosphere.

As part of this initiation, I suppose it's appropriate to include a testimonial.

I've been inspired to get blogging for mainly one reason: I've become a closet, occasional blog reader, and I'm tired of letting everyone else have all the fun.

While I am an official rep for Opera, this blog will feature my own interests and experiences, some of which will also surely include my work and love for Opera.

I can't exactly christen this with a bottle of champagne, but here we go.

Stinky gifts

Blueberry Muffins
I like to cut them in half and lay on the butter while they're warm
Low Country Boil
this is great for country-like company and beers - particularly with a seasoning I collected while in Savannah, GA
Cuban Food
this is a good online referece, but I mostly use a cookbook my grandmother gave me
Fløte poteter or Potatoes Au Gratin
there's really no trick here, but recipes make the job easier if you're trying to remember ingredients or cook time
Homemade Meatballs
this is a great recipe - substitute the tomato sauce for brown sauce , if preferred, and so the pan for the pot
Chocolate Mousse
pretty easy and delicious
Peach Cobbler
can be expensive when using the best peaches, but worth it
