Dyeing

Shortly after buying the spinning wheel, I also got Deb Menz's book, Color in Spinning. I'd taken a hand-dyeing workshop at Webs last month (December) and had been really excited at trying my hand at handpainting my own wool and spinning it up, and the book seemed perfect. It's awesome, there are so many things that you can do with color and I'm super excited! So I dyed up a color wheel, with the leftover Cushing dyes from the workshop, using my handspun Coopworth.
And finally handpainted some Wensleydale top with shades of red and green.
The colors in the top didn't come out quite as planned (rather Koolaid-ish) but I'm pretty happy ;-)
