Protecting the Tigers

Another minority is being oppressed in this world ...they are that regal symbol of nobility in South and Southeast Asia -- the tigers.
Tigers are being systematically slaughtered around the world because of the beautiful hide they could provide as material for women's expensive fur coats.Today, as few as just three thousand tigers are left and this figure includes those tigers that are in captivity either in zoos or circuses.
Tigers are lovely cats and if systematically trained, are highly intelligent animals. They deserve our attention and protection.
The Thai government regularly sponsors courses for rangers, zoo-keepers and wildlife conservationists to learn how to conserve those tigers that are left in the wild or in captivity.

Other parts of the tiger are used in Chinese medicine to treat conditions ranging from insomnia to meningitis... all nonsense of course, but why deny people a buck for their lies???
I loathe the thought of wild cats in captivity other than for breeding purposes to enable what is an astonishingly beautiful species to survive and hopefully cubs to be returned to the wild and into their natural habitats.

That is one reason why many moon bears in China are kept in captivity for life in narrow cages for their penis to mature for use. The penis of dogs, too, is supposed to have such effects.
There is a whole town somewhere in northern China where you can conveniently pick a live dog at a roadside stall, have it clubbed to death on the spot and then its penis ...supposedly to have been already charged with the adrenaline released by the dog while it is being beaten...is consumed immediately for aphrodisiac use.
Such is the barbarity of our world...but I must admit by the way that I am so used to whipping animals into submission that I myself sometimes forget that I may be one of those culprits who are being possibly guilty of cruelty to animals.
