Do Not Interfere with Nature

Keeping a pet at home is fun. But many of us are simply too busy or just plain lazy to keep big pets like dogs and cats. However intelligent animals are, they present danger to their owners if they are not feeling well or are just hungry.

There was a horrible news story about a French woman who somehow became unconscious at her kitchen floor for several hours. Her dog got hungry and then it started eating away...or tearing off...the flesh on that unfortunate woman's face, leaving her sickeningly disfigured for the rest of her life. The paws of cats easily carry germs and if your arms are accidentally scratched by a cat's nails, infection, inflammation and various kinds of complications might occur if the wounds /scratch marks do not receive immediate, proper medical attention.

In my view, keeping fish as pets is safest. You just need a well-equipped aquarium or just a big glass bottle and you can have hours of enjoyment without the danger of being attacked by your own pets. The following two types of fish are highly recommended -

1. The Siamese fighting fish -- The male Siamese fish can extend its fins like a peacock if it happens to see another male or just its own mirror reflection. Each male fighting fish has its distinctive colours -- actually all the colours of the rainbow ! It just needs to live in a small glass bottle and consumes two or three little pieces of minced raw meat every day. It easily survives in the same water for weeks and if you are a very busy person, keeping this fish as your pet is economical, easy and fun --just look at how its fins expand in all their splendour and glory and you will soon agree with me.

2. The bubble-eye goldfish -- This fish looks amazingly cute...with bubbles covering both eyes. Goldfish are generally very cute, but this one is the cutest of them all...and very lovable because it looks outstandingly dumb. This fish is recommended to you because I cannot think of any harmless pet that is more fun to just look at.
