Cultivate Good Karma When And Where you can

As a Buddhist born in Thailand, I believe in karma. To put it simply, karma is the culmination of the effects of the good and bad things you have done in this life. When you die, this accumulated, snow-balled lump of karma will pass on within that little spark of spirit that is left of you in the spirit world. If you have done lots of noticeably good things, that little spark of life left of you will be passed onto another life, most probably a better life. However, those people who persist and delight in doing bad things will have their little sparks of life absorbed by the demons in the spirit world...and having become part of demons, these people have no chance of having another life anywhere else except as animals or hungry ghosts. They either suffer continuously as lost spirits in the underworld or are tortured in the eternal hells embodied by the demons.
To cut a long story short and to avoid being accused of spreading superstition, what I am trying to say here is that this life...your life here on earth...is the best time for you to do something good to cultivate some good karma for your after life. If you have always been a bad guy and have skillfully avoided being punished by human laws, the story is not over for you yet. Your bad deeds will be accumulated and translated into bad karma -- you will inevitably meet your nemesis in your after life, when you will be absorbed by demonic spirits and be doomed to the sort of suffering that is so great that only eternity can tell.
