Googled my screen name and noticed a reply. Firefox has a portable app at portableapps.com, it is for use on a flash/thumb drive so it will be hidden from the operating system, and firewall at work may not like it. Looking at Microsoft Surface, is that what you do? I have never seen one. I am not very keen on blogs or blogging so I wouldn't have read about it there. But will try to keep an open mind about blogs, who knows, maybe someday. Back to my old career field this coming week, after an eight month hiatus for peace and tranquility. Healthcare can be very trying at times, but the rewards can be quite fulfilling. Hope all is well and peace is with you.
I will have to check out portableapps.com and try it out and see if FireFox on a thumb drive plays well.
Microsoft Surface is not officially out for the consumer market yet, it's way too expensive at the moment. From what I've dug up, it's going to be in places like hotels, museums, first. I believe Tmobile stores will have them in their stores.
Like you, I never really got into blogging or the social networking/communities either. I'm just trying to better understand all of this since my company is beginning to tackle the market with one of the products. Plus, some co-workers talk passionately about blogging, so I thought I'd give it try.
Nope, I don't work for Microsoft or that industry. I work in the Internet media industry, so we work often with a lot of advertising agencies running ad campaigns. I'm a Producer, which is like a Project Manager, except I don't deal with the part of the financials, estimated project costs, length of time, etc. I mainly make sure projects in my department run as scheduled along with the product enhancements, etc.
I can understand the Healthcare industry being trying at times. Though, I've never worked in that industry specifically, I did have a position once that was somewhat related to it and it was rough.
All is well, thanks. Wish you and your family well, too (I saw you have some pics up).
