About me

WORK - I work for a university in Utah.

ABOUT ME - I'm just a kid that is struggling not to grow up... I hope to teach my son to have similar ethics and develop a mentality that embraces a full life... My wife will second that. I am from NORCAL, way before the NORCAL term ever became a catch phrase for some person making money. Now we reside and live in the beautiful Cache Valley. We have 3 quadrapeds (2 dogs, 1 felne).

MY WIFE - The beautiful brunette that is the most precious person in the world to me. Dennis our son runs a close second. She pushed him into the world in just over 2 hours. Yes that's right, super labor. She's great and wonderful although i know her frustrations are high oft times due to our 'Little Monster' (Mike Ness would be proud).

Our little guy Dennis is is closing in on 3 years old now (November). He's our 'little monster'. He went camping for the first time and slept through most of the night. He's learning what 'sorry' means and how to curb and bridle inappropriate behaviors. He loves his doggies: Pippen and Aulie. Dennis is wonderful, rather active and tries to push us to our limits sometimes but he is the coolest little tyke around. We are in the perils of potty training and making great progress. We try to increase his verbal vocab...good luck for us the parentals. After all he is the first chld and therefore the 'experiment'.

My work

I work as an Assistant Registrar at a univerisity in Utah. I enjoy what I do as I am a technically proficient administrator. It's nice to be able to ward off incompetencies due to a lack of technical skill in decision making that affects the student populus via technology. I am responsible for our 'beloved' student records system. I attend many committees and help manage an office full of employees as well. We are in a massive overhaul at our university and are trying to move nearer to the 'Leading Edge' and distance ourselves from the ever so popular 'Bleeding Edge' our administrators have clung to for years.
I work with Oracle 9i and 10g databases and applications. Proficient in all Win(x) platforms. Familiar with *Nix architectures. Proficient and certified in many hard and software applications. Done way too much graphic design and photography throughout the years. I feel 'naked' without my Macbook Pro when at work. I love reminding people of the difference between a computer and an operating system. I am embracing documentation and trying to leverage that technique.

  • Hardware I use:Macbook Pro (15 inch) ---I think I found my hardware soulmate finally....I've scaled back to just this laptop....
  • If I won 1 million dollars, I would:I don't count on easy money; but I'd definitely take it and put it to good use....maybe a sustainable wind energy farm
