Well, Well Well.

I am now a candidate for a job search position at a unversity back east. I am still a bit in the shellshock mode about this as I didn't think I would stand a chance and things look good. My wife and I are comfortable about our situation at this point, however this is something we think I should entertain. We love where we are at and in fact just purchased our new home back in Feb of '08. It's a little humbling when so many in this economy at this time are struggling. The lead person in the search committee has used phrases such as extremely well qualified, and we're anxous to all meet you face to face. Normally I'd take this in gest and not put too much into it. But when a university as prestigious as the one I am being requested to visit comes a knocking, it's awing.

The wife and the little tyke are well. My wife is back to having back troubles and we think we are beginning to make some headway with the female plumbing and city works. Hopefully we can get her back to normal so that we can sucessfully do our shar in trying to 'overpopulate' this sphere known as earth. We have been trying for some tme and hope that we are successful soon.

Well it's morning and I need to get showered and to work. We have consultants coming from SCT to show us how to manage this new system known as DegreeWorks. It has been interesting as I have let my colleagues and peers know about this interview process I am in and how they still believe that I am indeed the person to inherit all of the work in many ways associated with this new system. It''s a very messy system, but the things it can acomplish in the world of Higher Ed are rather impressive. Let's see, Blackboard and Banner integration, Xtender and now DegreeWorks. I think I have had a few impacts at the university. THese products together are almost worth million dollars expended and hours of work to get them into full production.

Fingers are crossed. Interested to see what happens next Tuesday.
