I'm a mac user...

I strongly think and believe that macs are just cool. i enjoy my mac book pro and think it is well done. Except for the ultra fragile screen. My son tapped the screen and let's just say more than a blemish. It's time to have my mac-ness show across the myopera community.

Anyway, it's interesting how things seem to be better and worse all at the time. I think the skew of my perception is increasingly polarized. It used to be apathy was everywhere and that a lot of individuals were just moderated in all of their viewpoints. Now this is replaced by whimsical and selfish notitions. It's not often to see a completely selfless act without the 'what's-in-it-for-me' mentality shortly lurking in the shadows.

I often tend to think that common sense is waning. Frankly it is gone, and those that believe they deserve to be intelligent often cast all doubts aside by reviewing their actions. I'm glad that my wife and I love each other and have agreat little demon toddler. He's the most frustrating challenge in our life however he is the most rewarding and teaches us more than we would ever believe to know. It's awesome to see his little face go from beaming, to frustrated to insanely pleased throughout the day as he discovers this mess of a world. I know his thinking is so simplistic that it is pure.

Higher education is still higher education. Everyone claims that they are pro progress, yet the effort required to teach others that change is ok is almost unbearable. Otherwise intelligent individuals become challenged at the same times of years. I wish those that choose to be contracted into various things in life would also accept the accountability attached to the choices they have made. natural consequences at time just suck, but man.....the society that was once kicked around by parents trying to cut something out of nothing, sure seemed that things were better and t wasn't necessarily fear that governed their motivation to maintain civility and respect. Let's be real, it's gone now and it's frustrating.

Anyways, off my mindless rants....
cheers.....

I'm a musician. I'm curious, the studios I've been in, mostly had Macs. Are they better for recording? Do you know?

The mac can definitely leverage sound and video well. Frankly, pc's can as well. I will say most musicians tend to like mac's better from my experience and we all argue about the video end.

It depends on what you are trying to do and what you want to accomplish, and it depends on the music. I'd suggest Finale for music and composition in pc or mac and as for electronic/pop.rock etc, I'd defer you to others as video is my forte.
