Yeah you make me merry, make me very, very happy!

Phew... it's been a while! nervous

Not much is new, really. I'm working just as much, but I've paid off some debt AND bought myself a new laptop. Aint she purdy?

Been living a pretty quiet life tbh. Not much to report. Working my bum off... so much so that I've been rewarded with a night out, paid for by the company. Funfunfun... plan to make the most of that one!

I put a video on my page 'cause I absolutely LOVE this song. The first time I heard Kate Nash I thought it was complete garbage, but then I listened to her lyrics and realised I could relate to them... she's roughly the same age as me so I know exactly what she's talking about... quite nice, when you're having a bad day! Even though the song's about something sad it makes me feel happy... or maybe I just enjoy it because I AM happy for a change. :D

The boy dilemma is getting even more frustrating and it's so bad now that I can't even be bothered to type about it, because it just annoys me so much. Meh! Homer: Doh!

Perhaps tomorrow... I do need a vent and some opinions but for now I'll remain calm as I'm on holiday for four days (well, doing a couple of nights in the pub, but I don't count that) and I'm going to make the very most of it.

If I don't blog tomorrow I wish you all a happy Easter break. Hope the easter bunny brings you lots of eggs. :D Peace out, Cx

I've been tagged!A7X

Howdy there! Long time no read...

Christie 20. March 2008, 23:19

Heyyyyyy! Indeed it has been. How are you?

Robert Hurley 21. March 2008, 00:40

OK. A little under the weather. One of those annoying little recurring bugs that makes you sick without being bad enough to milk the sympathy angle.

On the other hand, I've been working more on my news and media blog, Media Vulture, and a couple of postings got picked up by some of the major blog aggregators, including technorati.

(I may have to buy a bigger hat.)

Happy bunny day!

Ripp 21. March 2008, 00:58

What out for the small chocolate eggs with rappers; they are most likely rabbit shit

Ripp 21. March 2008, 00:59

Wrappers not the singing ones; damn I need to proof read!!!

Robert Hurley 21. March 2008, 01:49

I dunno. I've heard some pretty bad rap lately...

Christie 21. March 2008, 11:22

Wow congrats on that! I've just opened the page but have not read it just yet.

And lol @ rappers. Awww Ripp. And I'm a girl... girls don't eat chocolate in small doses. Bring on eggs that are the size of my face! :D hehe

Ripp 22. March 2008, 07:46

Deke 24. March 2008, 00:23

Wet country.

Ripp 24. March 2008, 02:01

Christie 24. March 2008, 17:18

Deke 7. May 2008, 19:10

If I don't blog tomorrow I wish you all a happy Easter break.

You didn't (Blog tomorrow), but can I take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas?:hat:

Matthew 2. September 2008, 17:14

Late to the party, always with opinions:

  • Nice laptop
  • Party on!
  • Kate Nash is great.
  • Boys are overrated. So are girls for that matter. Not worth getting your knickers in a knot over, in any case.
  • Easter was a long time ago. Or you are very early for 2009.

Christie 2. September 2008, 17:17

- Thank-you
- Yeah, she is.
- I'm coming to realise more and more that boys suck. P: Oh well... who needs 'em?
- This blog was written at Easter... I just don't blog much any more. P:

Thanks for stopping by though. :D

Matthew 2. September 2008, 18:04

Boys stop sucking (in the perjorative sense) when you learn to do without them, and to stop accepting shabby treatment. When you realize you are worth more, and stop taking less than you are worth, you stop wasting your time with boys who won't give you your worth.

In market terms, the value you place on goods or services has a great deal to do with the price people will pay for them. As an attorney, when I underpriced my services, for whatever reason (often helping a friend, or providing services to people with low incomes), my clients valued my services less. It's the same in relationships: people will value you more (and treat you better) when you value yourself.

It only took me until I was 38 to figure that out, and a while longer to figure out how to put it into practice.

Blogging takes time - I completely understand not doing it much.

Cool new banner

Christie 2. September 2008, 18:26

Well I've been single for over two years because I don't accept anything but the best, but now I'm beginning to think that perhaps I've got an ideal in my mind that's unattainable. Perfect doesn't exist after all.

Although the boy (I really should say man, he's in his late twenties... doubt he'd class himself a boy) I'm into is taken... the grass is always greener!

Oh well... I've waited this long, what's a little longer for the right thing? P:

Thanks... I'm quite pleased with the blog now. And thank-you for your help. :D

Matthew 2. September 2008, 18:33

Hello, Kitty! Rawr! You made a lot of changes in no time at all!

You are unlikely to ever find perfection. Neither is the person who is looking for you, incidentally. I think there's a distiction between finding someone who's perfect, and finding someone who treats you with love respect. You know, someone who's hott.

Christie 2. September 2008, 19:21

Yeaaah I love the HK! Raaaaahr. :D

And yeah, I know this... I do know exactly what I want, I'm just never gonna settle 'til I get it. Which is no bad thing. And yeah, I'm faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from perfect.

Good times.

Matthew 2. September 2008, 19:25

Hahaha. :hat:

Ripp 3. September 2008, 00:40

I will chime in here now. Settling is the worst possible thing two people can do in a relationship. The only thing worse is when one of the two people settles and the other is pleased with their choice. In the end it will only be a disaster.

Keep your ideals, keep your mind, keep your wish list, just open your heart and your eyes. You never know who is standing just out of plain site.

Now in my case I am just fucked either way  She would have to be blind and stupid to see me  Maybe I need a blind woman with no fingers so she cant try to brail my face

Matthew 3. September 2008, 02:18

I agree - settling is stupid. On the other hand, setting the bar at impossible heights doesn't permit for a lot of opportunity.

Ripp 3. September 2008, 04:17

I agree totally.

Matthew 3. September 2008, 04:30

Well, that's a first.

Ripp 3. September 2008, 04:34

Not a first...

Matthew 3. September 2008, 04:40

Second?

Ripp 3. September 2008, 17:18

Homer: Doh! at least fourth

Matthew 3. September 2008, 18:00

Wow. If you suggest we get married, I'll poo. Though, now that I think about it, I don't think my ex and I agreed on four things in the course of our entire relationship.

Ripp 3. September 2008, 20:00

:eyes:

Yo bro, two outies don't make an innie. In other words cock and balls dont match...

I will stay single searching for fems regardless of how many times we agree...

Matthew 3. September 2008, 20:57

*phew*

Carry on, then!

Ripp 3. September 2008, 21:14

Christie 3. September 2008, 21:45

I think you all should get married... It gives me a great excuse to buy new shoes and a lovely big hat!

Ripp 3. September 2008, 21:48

:irked:

Christie 3. September 2008, 21:50

Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase?

Ripp 4. September 2008, 00:15

Ain't no  in that saying

Matthew 4. September 2008, 00:46

I'm sorry you can't buy shoes without an excuse. Not so terribly sorry that we won't be your excuse, though.

Ripp 4. September 2008, 17:56

"Not so terribly sorry" Homer: Doh! I dont know what he is saying but there is no possible way in hell that I will be part of that excuse...

Christie 4. September 2008, 19:08

Ok... can we have a fake wedding so I can buy shoes? :D

Deke 4. September 2008, 23:11

Ah, the old 'fake wedding shoe buying shopping spree ploy'.

It's been done to death, I think you'll find that the shop assistants will spot you in seconds and escort you from the premises amidst much embarrassing mockery from the assembled shoppery and also from the CCTV cameras which are recording the event for the 'When shoe shoppers do embarrassing things like faking weddings' documentary coming soon to a Channel 5 near you.

Ripp 4. September 2008, 23:48

As long as I can be watching the wedding and not involved in the wedding...

Christie 5. September 2008, 00:13

Hmmm... ok, what about you fake your own deaths (morbid, touch wood you both don't die, thanks) and I buy new shoes for the funerals... I favour black anyway, or charcoal grey would be nice....

Hmmmm... people would think that no-one could be that sick. P:

Matthew 5. September 2008, 01:30

Touch wood. I'm sure not touching that line!

Ripp 5. September 2008, 02:17

Not touching wood either; a little taco but no wood. I have enough wood of my own... How about using the American term of "knock on wood"...

But sure the funeral sounds so much better. Can I make funny faces at the people while they are viewing me?

Matthew 5. September 2008, 02:33

Or sit bolt upright, and say "thanks for coming!"

Ripp 5. September 2008, 02:52

Christie 5. September 2008, 15:18

Knock on wood... pfft. Americans. Pfft.

I'll stick to my wee Scottish sayings, Cheers!

And sure, I don't care if you jump out the coffin, do a quick cha-cha over to the priest and spank his arse...

I'll have my well-prepared "oh my god, I'm horrified!" face on with a nice wee pair of killer heels. Yay.

Everyone's a winner. P:

Ripp 5. September 2008, 15:21

 Sweet!!! I am looking forward to the whole evening. Will there be an open bar?
