Controversial Survey

I try not to post many surveys on here (I prefer to leave such things for my MySpace - hehe) but this one I found quite interesting, as the questions were thought-provoking as opposed to the usual "favourite colour?" type surveys. So here we go:

Would you do meth if it was legalized?
Nah... I'm nuts enough without drugs so I'll give them a miss.

Abortion: for or against?
I have quite set views on this one... I think abortion should be legal in cases where women have been raped and have no control over whether they have protected sex or not. I don't agree with it in every other way... as most girls these days use it as a way out, and I know one girl who's 21 and has already had three... purely because she prefers unprotected sex. I also think the limit should be lowered to around 12 weeks.

Would our country fall with a woman president?
Ah, I'm Scottish... we'd fall with independence from Westminster. As much as I adore my country, we'll only ever thrive as part of the United Kingdom. We need to get rid of some moronic politicians though.

Do you believe in the death penalty?
No, no way, and never. Killing people for killing people? Ridiculous!

Do you wish Marijuana would be legalized already?
Nah, it's not my bag. It's pretty much legal here anyway.

Are you for or against premarital sex?
For it. Try before you buy. P:

Do you believe in God?
Hmmm... I don't believe, as I believe in science at heart, so until it's proven no... however, I don't disbelieve. I love the idea of god, I just can't bring myself to believe.

Do you think that same sex marriage should be legalized?
It already is in the UK... and I think it should definitely be legal.

Do you think its wrong that so many Hispanics are moving to the USA?
Doesn't really affect me.

A 12 year old girl has a baby..should she keep it?
That's entirely up to the 12y/o girl...

Do they have a humane society for babies?
Not really.

Should the alcohol age be lowered to 18?
Already is in the UK! And it's fine how it is.

Should the war in Iraq be called off?
Definitely. My brother's lost his eyesight and other families have lost so much more because of it.

What if we were just nice to them?
What ifs are great.

Assisted suicide is illegal... do you agree?
Suicide is wrong, selfish and cruel... be it assisted or not.

Do you believe in spanking your children?
I don't have any, but I don't think I would.

Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
Hell yeah!

A mother is declared innocent after murdering her 5 children in a temporary insanity case... what do you think?
Let her rot in jail, in a ward full of mothers... they'd soon give her the punishment she deserves.

Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
If people judge me on my answers then so be it... what ya gonna do? :D

Things to do before you're 50!Murray! Murray! Murray!

Very good answers. I think I did this a while ago.

I really enjoyed your try before you buy comment...

Christie 3. September 2008, 21:47

 I was being serious!

Ripp 4. September 2008, 00:18

So was I...

Deke 4. September 2008, 15:39

So was I, but that's not important right now...

Hannah Nicholson 7. September 2008, 19:48

I liked 'try before you buy' as well, amused me greatly

Christie 7. September 2008, 23:11

Awwww it wasn't supposed to be funny. :frown:

Deke 7. September 2008, 23:16

Well I didn't think it was funny. Not at all. Nary a smirk nor a snigger passed my countenance.

Then I pictured you with Dom and his big bald head...

Christie 30. September 2008, 17:09

Who's Dom? :\

Deke 1. October 2008, 19:23

Dominic Littlewood, star of 'To buy or not to buy', from whence the popularity of the catchphase 'Try before you buy' originates.

Where you never a student?

You demonstrate a marked ignorance of daytime TV...:irked:

Christie 1. October 2008, 19:58

Oh I don't do daytime TV... my days of being a student were filled with full-day pool tournaments with the boys on my course, drinking from 11am and doing trick shots with fancy hats on... then perhaps I would have a three-hour lunch... followed by some afternoon cocktails and then a night out.

The only time I ever watched daytime telly was when I broke my foot and it was all UK Living re-runs of Maury Povich about people who had phobias of cotton wool.

Deke 2. October 2008, 10:26

So you basically wasted your days of yoof by getting... erm... wasted, when you could have been preparing yourself for the future by watching daytime TV? What is it with people these days? It's like nobody foresaw the coming of the blog.

Christie 2. October 2008, 19:39

I did... my drunken escapades are far better blog material than stories of To Buy or not to Buy!

Deke 4. October 2008, 18:10

It's been my experience that the best drunken escapades are the ones that you don't remember, ipso facto the ones that get blogged are only the second best.

I feel fobbed off now.

Christie 5. October 2008, 01:11

Oh I have nights I don't remember, that've been jigsawed together by friends recollections of events... they're truly spectacular! :D

Deke 6. October 2008, 23:30

Ah, like going to seaworld and removing your pants. Did they tell you what you did next?

Christie 7. October 2008, 16:48

Ah I think I'd prefer for my dignity to remain intact, therefore shall be sharing none of my stories.

I should start an anonymous blog somewhere, detailing my drunken exploits.

Deke 7. October 2008, 21:24

We'd all guess as soon as you reach the bit about setting fire to someone's kitchen.

Christie 8. October 2008, 13:23

Hahaha that's an Anchorman quote. Thankfully my pyromania doesn't progress into homes... just playparks and beaches.

Deke 9. October 2008, 00:17

You set fire to a beach???

I hope there were no piers in the close vicinity.

Christie 9. October 2008, 15:42

I'm not American but can i plead the fifth? The fire brigade were called though lol

Deke 9. October 2008, 23:00

I'd plead the Forth. They'll never burn that one down.

Bryan S. Welborn 7. March 2009, 15:05

Interesting poll.

"Try before you buy"?

Would you rather buy new tooth brush or used?

I'm just saying...

Christie 11. March 2009, 12:39

I think in the context of premarital sex it's a good policy, perhaps not when buying anything hygiene related.

Bryan S. Welborn 12. March 2009, 03:56

I understand the thinking behind having sex with a person before you marry them, but I don't think guys would rather MARRY someone who would TRY before they buy.

If anything would be "hygiene related" to me it's definately sex.

No offense. I do hope you find a great husband. Marriage is the best thing this world has to offer.

Deke 12. March 2009, 17:15

Marriage is the best thing this world has to offer.

Surely things haven't got that bad out there? :D

That's it. I'm not going out.

Ripp 18. March 2009, 01:34
