Error performing inpage operation

My 500 GB external hard disk drive started giving me error as I tried to access it from My Computer:

G:\is not accessible
Error performing inpage operation

Windows Support just explains the error (Q141117), but does not offer any help.

Searched more to find solution:

1. Start > Run > type in cmd then click OK to get a command prompt.
2. Type in chkdsk e: /r (replace e: with the drive letter of your external hard drive).

This won't do any harm, it will fix errors on the disk and try to recover data from bad sectors. It might not solve the problem but it's worth a try.

This better fix it!

Edit: Disk check completed and accessible! (after about 5 hours)

Smuggling brings you two very close

,

I was just talking with my friend John whether it's cheaper to have something shipped internationally or fly abroad and pick the item personally...

[18:22] mistressEVIL: what are you planning to snuggle?
[18:25] John: you?
[18:25] John: *hugs*
[18:25] John: ha ha ha
[18:25] John: smuggle ;-)
[18:25] mistressEVIL: oops ;x
[18:25] mistressEVIL: typo! i'm tired :$
[18:29] mistressEVIL: Smuggling is one of the most enjoyable things any couple can do. It brings you two very close, and tells you a great deal about the relationship. Bad smuggling can ruin a relationship.
[18:29] mistressEVIL: oh really? :D
[18:29] John: lol
[18:29] mistressEVIL: First and foremost, you have to try to be a good smuggler. It should come naturally to you. If you've ever been held by your mother or father, or anyone for that matter, you should have the basic idea how to smuggle.
[18:29] mistressEVIL: :>

What if...

...your favorite childhood fairytale figure wasn't what you've imagined it to be?

I'm inviting you to take a peek into Scary Tales World of a promising illustrator Katja Dell, who always likes to ask herself What it?.

Traditional fairy tales often depict innocent young children that become entangled in a dark world of wicked witches and bloodthirsty monsters.

But what if the "angelic" protagonists were not so angelic after all? What if Little Red Ridding Hood was it truth a Wolf-Pie Maker, Rapunzel a Strangler, the Little Match Girl an Arsonist and Alice the ultimate Bunny Boiler returning from Wonderland to make a rabbit stew?

Not for advanced users only

, , ,

Lately, I've been getting a feeling that people are afraid to try Opera, that Opera is for more advanced users.
Internet surfers who use Firefox already know there's an alternative to Internet Explorer, for a safer, faster, better browsing experience. But why did they pick Firefox and not Opera?
Most common answers would probably be because:
- somebody else installed Firefox for them,
- everybody they know uses Firefox and will help them if they have any question or problem,
- simply because everyone uses Firefox and it's cool.
Cool? To be just like everybody? Why not taking a step further to become special, using a browser no one uses and become the cool one who introduces new browser to their friends and offers all help and support?

Fact: Opera is easier to use than Firefox

Opera provides you with everything you need out of the box.
To get "out of the box" Firefox close to the level of Opera, you'll need to find and install bunch of plugins and addons. You need to know what exactly you're looking for and where to find it. For that, I think you need to be quite an experienced user.

To squeeze out functionalities that make Opera an advanced browser, you don't need to be an expert either.
If you ever had to set up email in Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, you shouldn't have any problems setting up Opera's built in email client M2 which is also news client (RSS reader).
Using Opera's IRC client is easy and simple aswell. Same goes for BitTorrent client.

With release of Opera 10 even customization became much easier. In previous versions, you had to know couple of hacks to customize your Speed Dial, now it's all just couple clicks away.

So, what will you choose? To go with majority and use Firefox, or become special, take a step out of the crowd and say out loud: I'm using Opera and I love my browser!
I say give Opera a go, use it as default browser for a week or two, but don't be surprised if you will miss some Opera function when you return to Firefox.

Go ahead and click here to get Opera now!

I love my old hood

There's this awesome Hasselhoff graphity in my old neighborhood!

But I'm not sure if this beats the awesomeness of coxy's desk photo or espenao's bedroom wall.
