Once you start...

It's been just a month since I first changed my blog desing from one of the default designs offered here at my.opera.
It was far from perfect, I mean it was just a custom background and header image, and wasn't in colors I planned it would be, but I liked it a lot.
I was bored late at night couple days ago, listening Abney Park (another band John recommended me and I now can't stop listening) and I dared to put Ophelia (airship that Abney park crew travels on) up in header, just for fun, to see how it would look like... and it was effing SEXY!
But the circles on the side didn't fit the steampunk style Ophelia shipped in. Need gears or cogs or something!
Spent another two evenings playing with Photoshop (note: I'm really not good at it) and I was just not happy with anything as I wanted gears in some stronger color.
Talked it over with John and finally tried how it would look in bright colors... And that was it!
I think it looks sexy again.
And imo, it looks best on non wide screen or at least with browser window not totally maximized, so that gears get partly covered.
I don't know how long am I going to stick with this "steampunkish" theme, but would like to work on other elements. Shouldn't be too hard with Dragonfly.
