Last Sunday I were at Silverstone racing circuit, north of London, watchig British Touring car racing. It was loads of fun even though it was raining most of the time. I had a video recorder with me and recorded some of the action
Back in May 2006 I wrote about the then new Bond car, the Austin Martin DBS. A magnificent car if you ask me. The creators of the film must have loved it as well because they have said they are going to use it in the upcoming Bond film as well. Not sure, but is this the first time a car model has been used in two 007 films?
About the Austin Martin DBS: DBS is sort of a tuned up DB9, reduced weight and better aerodynamics. Its V12 engine is capable of taking out respectable 517 horsepower’s It can take you 0 – 100 in 4, 3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 302 km/t
The new Bond film is set to be ready by November 2008, but no title as been given yet
Last Saturday was a perfect day for shopping, so I left my SLR at home. I figured I needed the extra space for items I might buy. I don't like the feeling of leaving the house without a camera, therefore I have a small one as well. I brought the small camera along on Saturday. I'm glad I did because when I got out of the tube on Oxford Street (on of the main shopping streets in London) there where a Veteran Car Show. I have never seen so many Veteran Car in one place, there most have been at least 100 there. More images of the Cars in my photo album
I think heads will turn in Texas when the Police drive down the road in this car. The car has a 700hp engine and 0-100 can be done in 6,5 sec. If this car was behind me on the freeway I would for sure slow down so it could pass me, just so I could have a good look at it. More photos of the car in my photo album
