I think it is funny to translate English lyrics into Norwegian and then try to sing them. Same goes for Norwegian to English. Every time friends is on TV, I often sing the opening melody in Norwegian. I think this fascination started when I was singing in a choir a long time a ago. On of the leaders thought we would become more "hip" if one of the Norwegian songs where translated into English. And let me tell you.. hehe.. I don't think that anyone in the audience on the night we performed that song has forgotten. Exsample: try to sing the second verse of the Norwegian anthem in English
