Some days are diamonds.

Some days are stone. Today's a diamond. I'm beginning to feel like this beast of a novel is shaping up--though what shambling creature it might be is anyone's guess.
I feel like yes, it might actually possible, though it's still early days. STILL. Two or three more times around the mulberry bush, Dr. Watson, and you might just have yerself a damn book.
*back to work*

My parents took us kids to see John Denver in about 1974 or so. MY brother was young, but a fan. I was young, but more of a Deep Purple fan, I think. Anyway, the only thing I remember about the whole show is the line "Toledo, Ohio - I spent a week there one day."
I've since replicated his feat. I know it's not cold fusion, but it does bend the space-time continuum.

My sister was heavily into JD in the mid-late seventies, which is where I learned most of the songs. Picture a five year old kid singing "Take Me Home, Country Roads", accompanied by a Hammond organ.
*shudder*

Funny how the most painful events of our youth are the same events that brought our parents the most joy.
