Tilting the Void

everything looks perfect from far away...

Elementary.

I don't know. Part of me is clutching-pearls, oh-no-it's heresy-horrified. The other part is going "HELL YEAH I'M SO SEEING THAT!!1!!"

It's difficult living with such a divided personality, let me tell you.

This is what vampires looked like when I was a teenager. But it's a Will Ferrell movie...

Rachel McAdams!?! Be still my heart. I'm definitely with the seeing it part of you.

I've read everything Holmes I can find, and seen everything I can locate, as well. I even have some of the 30 minute TV series shows. Heck, I made a pilgimage to Gillette Castle, because William Gillette was the definative Holmes on stage in the early part of last century. Frankly, I like Holmes so much that I don't find any of it to be sacrilege. I have preferences (I liked Rathbone's Holmes in Black and white; I much prefer Brett's Holmes to Peter Cushing ("Hound of the Baskervilles") in color.

I'm giddy :D

Hee hee!

I prefer Brett's Holmes, too. This just looks like stacks of fun, though!

"The key lies beneath this pillow."

I'm looking forward to it like I haven't looked forward to a movie in I don't know how long. :D

Woo! Wish you were here, we could all go to the movies together! Make it a Holmes night out!

Matthew 20. May 2009, 16:18

haha. I would definitely be up for that!

My friend Cajunlayde had an expression that she used when she thought someone was trying to put one past her. She used it when she had to investigate or dig up information: "Flaps down!" - a reference to Holmes' deerstalker cap. It used to make me laugh every time I heard her say that.

Mel 20. May 2009, 17:25

That's a good one!

Matthew 20. May 2009, 17:28

I always thought so. It's time for some serious investigation when you turn down the flaps.
