Tilting the Void

Warning: swearing, knitting, drinking, and Oxford commas might be involved.

Why Mr. Neil supports the CBLDF.

Something I'm thinking about donating my hard-earned florins towards. And so should you:

Comic Book Legal Defense Fund

Also, I'd give my left kidney to go to the con in San Diego, but that's just an aside. And only my left one. The right one's for drinking with; we have a contract.

Flightless Bird, American MouthOn a more serious note.

You better keep 'em both as they will be needed for all the bars if you ever make it to Comic-Con. You would also have to listen to 91x, San Diego's best station 91.1 on the fm dial.

I'll keep that in mind!

It's still not out of the question, though as the days slip past the airfare just gets more expensive :frown:

Florins? I don't think they take florins. You probably should convert them to doubloons first.

and if you keep some for a 200 years period or so you might end up with a great investment!!
One of the most famous is the Basher Doubloons, of which there are a very precious few. At the last auction held in 1978, for a 1787 Basher, the coin fetched around $ 625,000 dollars. These coins weren't throws, but they were the first coins minted in America.

Thus justifying Mr. Basher's line in a letter to his best friend Mrs. Vixen, "Some day, I will be known for my doubloons."

Mr. Donner and Mr. Blitzen, not being very good at recognizing talent when they saw it, never believed him.

Ooh. If I found one of those in my great grandmaman's grave, I would so sell that bitch on eBay. The doubloon, that is, not my grandma. Heh.

"If I found one of those in my great grandmaman's grave,"

You know it is a Greek tradition to bury coins with the dead.
