sometimes i dropped in an endless loop, so when i choose a link, it reloads the actual page. i can see it on rss feeds too, but its okay after a refresh. yeah, and i saw a white screen, but its rare. i reported several months ago, and i can see those issues on several devices.
edit: i saw again the white screen. :-(

New user agent string:

"Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/$CLIENT_VERSION/908; U; $CLIENT_LANG) Presto/2.4.15"

No. Not 908. I see 912, 916, 922... smile

Since yesterday I'm experiencing that Mobile View does not work properly. For example on http://bash.org.ru/abyssbest text is not re-layouted to fit screen and horizontal scrolling occurs. But if I load the same page without Mobile View, then texts are visible only on half of the screen.

I have Sony Ericsson k530i if that matters.

Aww, no Ogg in this server upgrade... sad

^ ROFLMAO! lol

theoddbod Saturday, February 27, 2010 7:10:13 AM

Nice the history bug is fixed, although the feeds are messed up again - too wide.

João Davidpiroxicam Saturday, February 27, 2010 1:07:51 PM

I still get the wrong click bug. If I click one link, instead of going to that link, I get my previous history link opened.

I have same issue on Siemens C75. My bug report is SKIRNE-70892.

Same bug on Nokia E51 and in Opera 10.10

MisterNobody Sunday, February 28, 2010 3:24:56 AM

There isn't re-layout here http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/ in mobile view.

smozes Sunday, February 28, 2010 4:33:06 AM

Just curious, why is the Opera Mini cluster only in Norway? Seems very inefficient from the perspective of a US based user.

H82typ Sunday, February 28, 2010 7:08:43 AM

Whew! No new bugs! cheers

theoddbod Sunday, February 28, 2010 7:52:15 AM

@smozes : it isn't just in Norway - there's a US one as well, and probably a couple of others I can't remember.

Aux Sunday, February 28, 2010 10:22:33 AM

Also forms on pages are submited only after second click - first one simply reloads the page with the form. Happens on ANY web site. That's annoying and eats traffic.

H82typ Sunday, February 28, 2010 1:11:41 PM

@ Theoddbod and smoses: One in Eur., one in USA, one in China, from what I remember.
@ Aux: Yep. I got unltd. data. Just the time alone, never mind anything else is... is... cry

I cannot reproduce. Please provide a link to at least one site where this is happening since the upgrade. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. This issue reproduces and will be further investigated.

theoddbod Monday, March 1, 2010 12:37:51 PM

@Gerald... : my.opera.com - the forums and many blogs here exhibit Aux's first issue. However, my observation is that the first submit actually works, but the subsequent page load pulls from cache rather than a page with the new comment displayed. A page reload via *0 will usually show the new comment. A second submit (believing the failed) will reload the page, sometimes with a JS error about no comment being entered but the original is shown.

theoddbod Monday, March 1, 2010 12:39:20 PM

Incidentally, that last comment of mine suffered from the issue exactly as I described. Oh, and the apparently failed initial submit will still show the text in the textbox.

It happens everywhere starting with Google search (make a search from Opera Mini search screen, then change search terms on Google, click search button on page). The same goes for www.expansys.com and www.salidzini.lv Don't remember any other links now.

Flinserl Monday, March 1, 2010 4:48:19 PM

Issues with displaying RSS-feeds on my BB Curve 8330 in the US since the server upgrade using Opera Mini 4.2
Feeds-page is now displayed as a webpage, and you need to click on it to zoom in. You won't see the number of new items, since it's "outside" of the visible screen. Tried playing with the settings in config: to no avail.

Please bring the "old" RSS mobile view layout back!

theoddbod Monday, March 1, 2010 5:01:04 PM

The column wrapping on blogspot blogs is now about 30% too wide, resulting in endless side-scrolling to read entries.

H82typ Tuesday, March 2, 2010 11:26:46 AM

@ Gerald... : Several blogs (it appears random) exhibit Auxs first issue.
Sometimes #0 - reloading the page helps in 4.2 does the trick, sometimes it doesn't. On one post I tried 7 times, cleared my history, exited mini, went back, logged out, logged back in and still couldn't submit. Tried 5.0b2 with the same results. I finally got to post with 3.1 . All 45 minutes spent for just two lines. bomb

theoddbod Tuesday, March 2, 2010 12:09:45 PM

I've had it that bad too - ended up posting anonymously using my phone's built-in browser awww It was on a blog entry here that had hundreds of trackbacks - i've been wondering if lots of links on a page exacerbates the problem.

H82typ Tuesday, March 2, 2010 12:57:32 PM

I don't know what the criteria is for this bug, Mart, it's probably got nothing to do with links, though. I've had it happen to me in p.m.'s!

53north Wednesday, March 3, 2010 2:03:43 AM

Yes, in Blogspot, as a user, the internal layout page is far too wide. It's not reading the #wrappers correctly, and makes either opera or blogger unusable...
With the inability to deal with frames, identify tags in close tag cloud gadgets, the lack of italic recognition...I'm slowly using Bolt more and more..

MaximSailorMax Wednesday, March 3, 2010 7:24:17 PM

+1: bring the "old" RSS mobile view layout back!
smile

Native opera mini 5 don't get me the mobile view of www.mjoy.com (to login and so on). It redirects me to the desktop view worried

this works with 4.2 and 5 beta...

Johan Gustavssonsham69 Tuesday, March 9, 2010 3:45:08 AM

...And now those folks at Opera Software has done it again...

I can't log in anymore!!

in all my password-fields, I can now see the texts instead of ********, but what I type into those password-fields goes blank as soon as I leave them, if you know what I mean...

(I'm running a winmobile Xperia X1i, with esmertec's jbed)

Please revert back to the old version... (or even to this version:
4.16.916, despite the feed view being broken in this...)

Gerald Senarclens de Grancygsenarcl Tuesday, March 9, 2010 10:07:35 AM

@Johan Gustavsson: please name the exact urls of the sites you're having trouble with, so we can try to reproduce this problem.

Johan Gustavssonsham69 Tuesday, March 9, 2010 12:13:16 PM

For example: http://swebits.org/browse.php
and http://www.torrentbytes.net/browse.php

These both sites used to work for me as of Sunday the 7:th of March...

edit:

It now works! I just had to download and install a new rom... I am now using energyrom from 27:th february, I'm sorry for being such a b*tch, b*tching about Opera Software changing their servers, when the problem was on my side...

smozes Thursday, March 11, 2010 6:53:19 PM

I tried accessing pandora.com to make changes to account settings and was told they don't serve Norway. This on my BlackBerry 9700 running OM5. So clearly, some traffic is needlessly routed or mistakenly identified as coming from Europe while I'm in California.

PHYUU Sunday, April 4, 2010 5:02:43 PM

its an old issue, (dunno wether its been posted yet)
after i write something on facebook, the screen will reload automatically. i.e: post comment, status, etc
hence, i didnt click the 'submit' button yet.
me & my friends experienced the same problem though. n we had diffrent cellphone/provider.
all i got 2 do, is pressed 'back' button to stop load screen, then click the submit button.

*sorry for my bad english (its not my native language)*

adambraithwaite Tuesday, April 20, 2010 4:13:03 PM

Sometimes Opera Mini uses the wrong hyperlink when I click a link in a page.

E.g. on http://symbianworld.org/s60-5th-edition-freeware-downloads-for-nokia-5800-n97/

adambraithwaite Tuesday, April 20, 2010 4:14:31 PM

p.s. the links always work if I open them in a new tab, but not if I open them in the current tab.

njzk2 Tuesday, May 4, 2010 3:06:49 PM
