Opera Mobile 11.1 silent update 1 for Android

What is a silent update?
A newer version of Opera Mobile 11.1 which replaces the launch version of Opera Mobile 11.1
Why did we release a silent update?
Opera Mobile 11.1 was freezing at startup on certain Android devices
Shortly after the launch of Opera Mobile 11.1 for Android we started receiving reports Opera was freezing at startup. We traced the startup freeze to devices with non-standards fonts. Most effected devices were the HTC HD2, and LG P990 Optimus 2x. The developers also identified and fixed another freeze on start-up bug that was effecting devices with Hardware keyboards such as the Motorola Milestone, and the HTC Desire Z.
Change log for Opera Mobile 11.1 silent update 1
- Fixed force close issues related to non-standard fonts in the system
- Fixed force close issues when using hardware keyboards
- Fixed problems with text vanishing from text fields after editing
As always send us your feedback in the Android market, or head over to the Opera Mobile for Android forum to discuss.
Happy browsing,
The Opera Mobile team

Releasing a new version with the same version number as an older version is just silly. It causes unneeded confusion, and makes the release look unplanned and amateurish.

Webkit browsers get a different page than Opera Mobile on m.youtube.com. The Opera version has uglier style and doesn't contain an embedded video, only a vnd.youtube:... link that's handled by the YT-app. If that one isn't installed you just get an error message. Webkit version contains the embedded video and actually does work in Opera (if you just convince the server you're actually Webkit).
You guys should probably get in contact with YT to get their browser sniffing fixed.

also, the select copy is unusable as it screws up trying to open a link in a new tab all the time(nooo i don't want to bloody select a word in the link description).... opera mini is still a lot more usable vs opera mobile.

look, they can make a pop up menu switch option or something (select link text/open link). and that would be a lot less annoying since we do a lot more opening than selecting
i'd really appreciate it if opera didn't keep closing and losing all the open tabs too
