This kind of sucks. Whatever happened to proper version numbers? You are only confusing people by calling two different versions "11.5."

This should have been 11.5.1, not "11.5 all over again."

The text on golem.de is shown again, but not with the correct font!

And is the cache now saved automatically on SD card or is there a setting for it I can not find?

It's 11.5 update 1 now. bigsmile
Seriously, I don't think this is affecting people in general since the market will advice them there's an update available (and there's the build number on the about page).

Opera has never had very granular versioning on phones. They denote a version number which indicates the supported features, and release bugfixes on the EXACT SAME version. The number only changes when features change, bugs and security patches do not increment the count. Desktop has had granular versioning, and will probably continue to do so for a while.

Opera Mobile supports opera:config, same as the desktop. Yes the cache is stored on SD, I have made mine much larger to better take advantage of this. I'd suppose if you were rooted it may be possible to hack the .ini and set paths manually, but DON'T DO IT. If you are very concerned about storage space, you can move the application itself to SD, or (I think) they still offer ARM5 and ARM7 builds that require less space.

Perhaps somebody could answer this:

Does this version still erroneously display IP numbers on HTML pages (like 12.34.56.78) as "tel:" links, i.e. underlined so that the telephone launches when clicking on such an IP address?

Yes, which is what sucks about Opera's mobile browsers. It gets extremely confusing for a lot of people.

Flash Player isn't working on some sites with this version of Opera Mobile for me. On Youtube the plug-in loads, I tap to activate it, and it simply remains as a black box. It is working as expected on the BBC News website however. I'm on a HTC Sensation XE, Android 2.3.4. Both Opera Mobile and Flash Player have been reinstalled to no avail.

The blog post calls it "Opera Mobile 11.5 update 1".
In the Android Market it's listed as "11.5.1".
The About Opera page shows it as "Version 11.50.ADR-1110171336".
The opera:about page shows it as "Version 11.50, Build ADR-1110171336".

Can we not have consistent terminology?

Hello
How do I manage multiple name/password saved when I would like to log in for Gmail or other site? There should be icon like on desktop version, or I am doing something wrong!
Opera won't let me even in to text box to write my name/password.
Thanks for help.

Hi guys,
Loving Opera Mobile on Android, but just one small deficiency: the Tab key on my Desire Z (international equiv of the US T-Mobile's G2) does not navigate through form fields like one would expect. Add this functionality and I'll be a happy camper. smile

Cheers,
Jarrad
