Hello iOS and Symbian users!

Opera Mini updates are now live in the Apple App Store and will soon be available in the Nokia Ovi Store smile


Opera Mini 6.5.1 iOS: change log

  • Fixes for network related issues
  • Improved stability
  • Improved share integration with email client

Opera Mini 6.5.1 Symbian: change log

  • Added predictive text input and language choice in search field
  • Fixed issues with browser freezing
  • Fixed issues with browser when Opera Link is enabled
  • Fixed issues with text selection and cut/copy/paste
  • Fixed issues with reappearing search engines after deletion
  • Fixed issues with selecting text using Up/Down navigation keys
  • Fixed issues with third-party input keyboards (QQ, Baidu, Sougou)

but it still hasnt taken care of the inability to use opera mini on wifi networks. Though opera mobile works fine on it

Be aware that RSS feeds will be wiped out if you update from ovistore. Do not use NOKIA OVI STORE to upgrade ! Use m.opera.com.

There is still no update for Java Nokia S40 devices.
My C3-00 is still getting out of memory errors and it keeps freezing for about 1 minute near start up when opera link is on, the Amazon and eBay search engines wont permanently delete even though it has "delete" in the options menu.
I would also like to see java script and/or flash

Yes, new version is on m.opera.com, but didn't reach Ovi Store yet. And update is released for ALL devices starting from Symbian v7.0

So that 6.50 (27309) is same as 6.5.1 mentioned in here blog? If so, quite confusing version numbering IMO.

i like 6.5 but my problem is that when i go to site like e.g www.lusakatimes.com, it will load the page half way, then the screen will go blank. When i check the web address of the page in the address window, it then shows me rt1804.infolinks.com/action/doq.htm?pcode=utf-8&r=1322411412851.1
The are other international sites which act same.
I never use to experience on opera 5, 5.5.

It still got the freezing issue in my nokia x6. Beginning v6 was more stable & easy to use then latest version.
Opera please prefer m.opera.com to upload latest version of opera.

Opera is my fav browser in all mobile OSes. I have just gottten an iOS device and the auto rotate is annoying me.

I can turn that off in android but I can't do it on my iphone. I browse the web, sometimes lying on my side, and if there is an option for Opera to stay in portrait view, it will be wonderful.
