Opera Mini is the mobile web browser that turns any feature phone into a smarter device. Now, with Opera Mini Next, a preview version of what’s next for Opera Mini, feature phones get even smarter with advanced social media functions.

The web doesn’t stop evolving, and Opera Mini evolves with it. Introducing the Smart Page, a new feature previewing in the Opera Mini Next series of browsers for feature phones, to be launched on all Opera Mini browsers for feature phones later this year. The Smart Page will take its position alongside Opera’s famous Speed Dial shortcuts and give feature phones smarter access to social networks, the latest news and more.

In smartphone versions of Opera Mini Next, the Smart Page will not make an appearance in this version. For smartphones, we’ve focused on improving the web experience itself. Android users of Opera Mini Next will get a smoother browsing experience, with hardware acceleration and a revamped Speed Dial. The revamped Speed Dial screen, with an unlimited number of Speed Dial shortcuts, debuts in all versions of Opera Mini Next for easy access to all your favorite websites.

  • Fixed an issue where it was not possible to get a context menu for an URL text input field
  • Last character of a long word was missing when input was done

  • Support for Russian input in Opera VK (S60 only)
  • Quick access to URL/search from Symbian status bar (S60 5.0 and Symbian^3)

Known issues:

  • Device specific bugs for RTL
  • RTL is not fully supported in input fields (S60)

Opera Mobile is a full browser with client-side support for JavaScript, HTML5, Flash (Android only) and more. In Opera Mini, the browser engine is running on Opera's servers. Web pages are transcoded and compressed up to 90% before being downloaded to the device, making Opera Mini lightning fast and also much cheaper if you are paying per megabyte.

hi all! is there a possibility to exclude opera mini speed-dial from synchronization? I use different websites on my desktop opera, and others on my mini opera, and the latter only messes up my desktop opera's speed dial.

Hey why some time u use opera in operation of web da application are corrupt and write out memory after dat u should swith off then on in order 2 proceed i experince dat problem in opera version 5 and version 6.5
so can u help me why my phome module is NOKIA 5300 EXPRES MUSIC

whew! again.. I don't know what it is on another platforms, but on Java (j2me s40v3) Opera Mini Next has a problem with Facebook desktop site. Facebook homepage can't be displayed at all (always redirected to mobile site). Profile page can be displayed but only the top section of the page (i.e. Pro pic, friends, photos, info, maps, etc.) but not the whole timeline (updates and stories, likes and comments, etc.). And there's no status update field/box at all from where we could add wall photos also. There is a button for 'add cover' at the top but this is also not working. Can these problems be fixed and made Opera Next fully support the desktop site of Facebook?? I need this so badly:) How about you guys?

Opera mini next is 2 gud...bt wen is the next updated version coming?? Nd 1 mre thing why dnt u include an option of "Auto-Refresh" which is being supported on most of the sites these days for eg: Espncricinfo.com.
It makes browsing experience much better especially when u have to check the scores frequently it becomes irritating to press the refresh button again & again.

Well, but how can i download this? My phone supported j2me. And why not u increase browser system, like phone call... And i have a question? If the all browser was made by high level phone, how can we use opera? I download opera7 sign version. But it don't work well on my device. My email: ariful100joy@myopera.com

1. how to clear cache on OM?
2. some java devices are still in around ver 4. no tabbed browsing?
3. OM should optimize mobile RAM when idle.
4. Why do links in fb expire soon?
5. during commenting via OM on fb, sometimes older comment is uploaded on new pages.
6. sometimes, while opening one link, OM displays another.

These were the mostly faced bugs. pleas consider them on newer versions. thanks in advance.

Some java devices are too old, or too slow, to handle lot of tabs.

i still prefer opera 4.4 because Opera 7 on my phone( samsung gt c322 ch@at) has only half of screen as a useful screen when i open the menu' unlike other operas. ( The screen is 220x176) . The menu(when open) takes a big part of the screen , and looks too stretched. (Also opera 7 crash more times than 4.4 but i guess its my phone's fault)

hey guyz, please save "never use" or "only for url" option for opera keyboard, because I am facing this problem in higher versions of opera like v~6.5 &v~7.0 . I hadn't faced this problem upto version 6.0 .

After updating my browser opera keyboard automatically get deleted, and also after saving the option i.e., always use it doesn't appear.

dat's why i have to use my phone keyboard for this application.

that creats a lot of problems.
