Last month at MWC we released Opera Mini Next for Android. The feedback has been terrific. It has been the highest rated Android release in Opera's history!! And yesterday this final version was released. Head over the the Android Market or m.opera.com to download or upgrade Opera Mini today!
So what does it mean, Opera Mini 7 for Android makes browsing faster and panning around sites smoother, thanks to improved hardware acceleration.
Also introduced is unlimited speed dials, you get as many Speed Dial buttons as you’ll ever want. Add all the sites you want to see right from the moment you start up your browser. No more messing around with fiddly mobile keyboards or bookmarks.
Change Log
- Open GLES hardware acceleration in UI
- Support for more than 9 speed dials
- Support for rendering RTL text in the UI
- New add to speed dial option in the star dialog
- Closing tabs with one click
- Improved find in page UI
- No time limit on saved sessions
- No prefilled "www." in the address bar
- Improved closing of tabs (switch to last used tab)
- NFC implemented (Android 4.0 and above)
- Added Exit Button
- General stabilization fixes
Big thanks to all of you for your constant support. You are the ones that keep us going so please continue to give us feedback on the forum. (add as many details as possible no matter how irrelevant you think they might be. Especially: ROM you have, any modifications you did to the system, etc.)
Happy browsing,
The Opera Mini Team

Although this new "feature" sounds good on paper, in the real world it's awfully annoying to deal with, especially if you've opened multiple tabs from a single location. I've sent a couple emails towards your team and they were promptly ignored.
