opera mobile 11.5.2, silent
It's been a
very busy week here at Opera, but our developers aren't done yet
Today we released the Opera Mobile 11.5.2 update. It is available now in Android Market and will be available on our servers later today. All users are recommended to update.
This update contains one major change in Opera's behavior. Previously Opera would block pages from redirecting to themselves. This was done to ensure that self-refreshing pages would not incur cost to users. Unfortunately this was causing site compatibility issues so we decided to change it.
You can bring the old behavior back if you want by going to opera:config and enabling "Disable Client Refresh To Same Location".

Just over 3 weeks ago we released Opera Mini 6.5 for Android. The release was the most successful Android Opera Mini release in history! Millions of downloads, thousands of 5 star ratings.
Now the same great features found in that Android release are available for the 100+ Million Opera Mini users on other platforms.
Opera Mini 6.5 will now show you exactly how much data you have spent and saved. A dedicated page, easily accessible from the help menu inside the Opera Mini, keeps count of how much data you are spending and saving.
The number of megabytes saved while using the Opera Mini browser can directly translate into money saved if you are roaming or on a pay-as-you-go plan for data traffic.
For people on capped data plans, this is a handy feature to make sure you don't max out reaching those slow, punishing network speeds you might encounter after using up your allowance.
Did you ever wonder how much data Opera Mini and Opera Mobile saves users? We did too.
Bounce over to Opera.com to check out the "Total Data Saved" counter clock showing just much data Opera has saved users since today's launch.
So what's new?

opera mini, java phone, J2ME, 4.4
Today we have a new update of Opera Mini 4 for you! The main focus of this release has been to bring the network features in Opera Mini 4 up to the same level as in Opera Mini 6.5. This opens up new possibilities for your network operator to integrate services like free Opera Mini browsing to certain sites, and hopefully it makes it easier for you to connect. There are no major user visible features in this release, but we have chosen to call it 4.4 since there are significant changes to the network code. Apart from that we have fixed skin issues for some Samsung devices.
Opera Mini 4.4 is mainly for low-end devices that are not capable of running Opera Mini 6.5. The download system will suggest the best version for your device. Just visit
http://m.opera.com/ on your phone and you will get the version best suited for your device. Or you can visit

As always, we welcome your feedback in our forum, and please report any bugs in our bug report wizard. Thanks!
Regards,
The Opera Mini Team
