About me

I work for the Developer Relations and Tools Team at Opera Software. I live in Tucson, Arizona, and travel often for work. I've visited Oslo quite a few times now and really like it there, although I'm not a huge fan of long, cold winters. I prefer the warmth and sunshine and palm trees where I am.

My work

Along with speaking, working conferences and trade shows, writing and other activities related to, well - relating to others working in our industry, I also serve as a member of the W3C CSS Working Group. My work there is mostly as liaison to the public as well as encouraging better naming conventions and ideas that reflect what developers and designers want from CSS. I am extremely involved in Open Web efforts, open standards, and grass-roots discussions about knowledge share and professional improvement.

Why I choose the Opera browser

The Opera browser chose me! I use all browsers as my work also involves testing and Open the Web activities, but I'm a fan from back in the very early days. I've watched Opera, as I've watched the Web, go through a lot of changes, and I can honestly say Opera's products have always served me well in some way, whether it be early standards compliant projection mode via OperaShow or current implementations of local storage and HTML5 features. I'm also becoming very fond of the Dragonfly tools, and am proud that it is one of our products that is Open Source, supporting developers and designers everywhere.
