It's Me It's Me

A potpourri of ME

Weird People, Weird Plants, Some Unweird Info, Weird Timing and Weird Info

, , ,

I don't have a cat!!!! Plants beware. I lament, "Why now?"

Well, I wrote a blog posting all about how my family is being hasseled by someone who thinks we have a cat. He came to our house with cages full of cats, and said that a cat bit him. (Oh, what a dumb-ass! Put your finger near a caged cat and voila!) Then the police came. WE DON'T HAVE ANY PETS WHATSOEVER! GRRRR.... (POsting didn't get posted -- is floating around the ethernet apparently!) A weird cat-hating idiot!!!

Then, with all this rain and dampness, all of a sudden stupid weeds are growing out of my cement areas. Have been researching how to kill plants and now have a plan. Bwaa-hahaha, weird plants, you are soon to be dead.

I miss my collegiates, but am way proud of them. They were home for a while. Congratulations to my super honor student, Panda! Yes, she also passed her driver's test and now has the much coveted license. This, not weird at all.

Am getting our siding replaced on our unattached garage. Why do things start falling apart when you don't have that much money about????????????? I lament this weird timing! Why now?????

We are going to knock down our little shed -- Boo HOO! I might get a new plastic one. I hope so! So the shed is going weird, too!

I am still trying to get my sons to help me put up some fencing!!!! They just consistently get out of it. I have to get tough!!!!!!!! Weird how real reasons why they can't help me always pop up out of the blue!

The weather is on and off raining for such a long time. Damp and humid. Weird, unseasonable weather! But nights have been cool, so I like that.

My back is much better, also my ankle and foot!!! So I am happy. My body is unweirded.

Have any of you heard of Smithsoniangate? I have been reading about lost archeological finds. Very interesting, perhaps a future posting... Weird scientific info...

Later!

Construction methods differ, here in South Africa, no one would even know what siding is. Our houses are built with brick and mortar. Wood houses that were built once have all been torn down and replaced by ash-brick or clay brick constructions. Even many of our city buildings are brick. :left:

Aadil, just my garage is wooden. My home is brick, a clay brick I believe.

I like brick, South African buildings must be very sturdy and pretty being ash-brick and clay brick.

The only way I would have a siding house would be if I had it constructed because sometimes people sell rotten homes and hide the rot with new siding! It is horrible.

Some low cost developments are really bad. Ash brick (aka cinder block) is only as strong as the mortar and foundations. Most medium style homes have the garage built as an extension to the house.

Are there tornadoes in South Africa, Aadil? Dust storms? Wind storms?

By momable, # 28. June 2008, 03:50:07

Tornados are very rare and hardly ever touch down. Hail, however, is a major problem on the highveld. Between rain and drought, the farmer can't seem to win. We have many climates here depending on where about you stay. ::smile:

We have hail at times when the tornado seasons is on and then there are really powerful thunderstorms.

I imagine it is the same with the highveld but much more frequent than here.

Poor farmers.

They don't seem to complain as much as the maggots with the mercs and bmw's do. :left:

Mercurys and BMWs? Cars? Aadil, some people with nice cars are actually nice, too; and some of them, all they have is a nice car.

I am surprised at your comment. Here, too, I have met people who automatically didn't like certain people because they had better cars, houses and clothing; and I was surprised at their prejudices, too.

I am only prejudice against people who treat me in a prejudicial manner.

Basing prejudice on items or race is not right...

Merc in South Africa means Mercedes. .
It's not all people who drive there vehicles that I'm refering to. It's the type who'll knock down a pedestrian and then complain about how the 'effing k####r' Damaged his pride and joy. :irked: .
They'll complain about the dents in thier vehicles after a hail storm but they can't explain why they have more vehicles than garage space. Anyone with four cars that nobody else drives, it doesn't make sense. The type of people I'm refering to are the ones who complain about the damage the floods do to thier roses, but have no compassion for the victims who've lost everything. Hence the reason I call them maggots!
.
But you are correct, not everyone who drives a 'nice' car is like that.

There are some real maggots out there! I agree with you!!!!!!
