It's Me It's Me, A Blogwright

A potpourri of ME

A Blogwright's Life

, , , ,

I have decided people who maintain blogs are "blogwrights".

 Yes!

Got my hair cut today, along with my two collegiates and highschooler. The hairdresser said I looked twenty years younger -- should I be insulted? He meant it in a good way, though.

Thanksgiving was so nice. For once nobody fought! Seeing everyone is so enjoyable. Some people change in just six months' time! :eyes:

Sometimes I buy things for my kids hoping they can use it later, and I end up having it since they are getting to be so choosy! The afore-mentioned process is how I came into my new, blue, lined-with-comfy-cushy-warmth, zippered sweatshirt. Seriously, because the zipper sticks no one wants it. They want something they can throw on and get to school fast with. A symptom of our hurry-hurry world, perhaps? Such great young people as mine are never want to be late for anything. The fix -- soaping up the zipper. It sticks a little at times, still; anyway, my gain (and it was on sale).

Hmmmmm. Football is on TV everywhere in my house. American football, that is...

My head feels lighter...

Bad you -- it is because of the haircut!

My trees have no more leaves but the neighbor's does consequently we are still raking!

Now, I go to eat my pumpkin icecream. OHHHHH, I love this stuff!!!!

Dear Readers, have a pleasant weekend.

And the bad bloggers, are they "Blogwrongs" ? :D

Have a good one.

Dacotah 30. November 2008, 02:09

Have a pleasant weekend too Elly.

momable 30. November 2008, 06:25

Sprogger   Yes, they are

You have a good one, too , Richard.

momable 30. November 2008, 06:27

Back at ya, Carol.

Dacotah 30. November 2008, 06:56

SittingFox 30. November 2008, 09:42

Well if someone said that I looked twenty years younger, I would be a little concerned! (That would mean that I looked like a seven year old!)

Enjoy your pumpkin icecream Elly! :D

qlue 30. November 2008, 12:03

Try a little corn flour or talc on that zipper. Soap could corrode it. (I'm assuming, of course, that it's a metal zipper.).

ALLY_G 30. November 2008, 14:11

And a nice weekend to you too, Elly!
And enjoy your youth :D

momable 1. December 2008, 06:24

Adele,  The ice cream was delish!

momable 1. December 2008, 06:26

Yeah, Aadil, it is metal. Shoot! If I put corn flour or talc on it, won't it clump now?

After I wash it, if it still sticks, I'll put talc. I never heard of this solution. Thanks

momable 1. December 2008, 06:26

Hya, Elke! Have a great month! I will enjoy. Thanks

silicon spray, sewing machine oil.
i am a blogwright then. i like it.

i like the combo wordsmith too though. hammering out sentences.

momable 7. December 2008, 01:03

Yeah, those sprays would work, Scott; but I would be afraid to stain everything...

You are definitely a blogwright. I like it, too.

Wordsmith is an excellent word. When most people in the word didn't read or write, that was an actual occupation. The illiterate would bring contracts and papers of import to be read for a fee, or have things written for them, etc.

You probably already know that, though..

Mickeyjoe_irl 17. December 2008, 14:41

Pumpkin ice cream sounds nice. Do you make it yourself or buy it?

Here's another term for blogwright/wordsmith - scriobhneoir.

momable 17. December 2008, 22:31

I buy the pumpkin ice cream. Each year, I so look forward to it's being in the stores.

What a cool name! Also, calligraphus -- sounds like a robot

Maybe I should change momable to calligraphus?

Mickeyjoe_irl 18. December 2008, 12:12

 Latin is very classy

momable 19. December 2008, 02:05

 You have a robot avatar, you should be Calligraphus!

qlue 19. December 2008, 13:49

That's not any robot, that's Wall-E

Mickeyjoe_irl 19. December 2008, 14:23

 I could be MICK-E

momable 21. December 2008, 00:14

 That is the cutest movie

Okay, qlue and MICK-E

qlue 21. December 2008, 02:16

I own a legal copy of the dvd. :hat:. With all the extra bits plus a whole second dvd full of extras.

momable 21. December 2008, 03:04

I saw it at the theatre and borrowed it from the library. One day, I will get my own copy. Are the extra bits and second DVD worth it?

qlue 21. December 2008, 18:32

I think so, the second dvd contains a detailed documentary on the history of Pixar studios. Also included are deleted scenes with commentary explaining why they were deleted and also the original inspiration for the scenes. I found that, after watching all the extras, I had a deeper appreciation for this movie. It's amazing how a subtle background object makes such a major difference to the overall effect.

momable 21. December 2008, 21:23

Thanks for the insights, Aadil!

Mickeyjoe_irl 22. December 2008, 12:00

I'm hoping to get the DVD for Christmas. I'm looking forward to the new short.

momable 23. December 2008, 01:07

I hope you get it, MICK-E
