It's Me It's Me, A Blogwright

A potpourri of ME

Happy Holidays

, , , , ,

I was inspired by Scott, I-ARTMAN to write a poem. Then, some others made comments and inspired me, too! Thanks all of you!!!!!!

The poetry is about Christmas, which my family celebrates; but I wish Happy Holidays to all and a Marvelous New Year and Winter Solstice and all Celebrations!

Here are some poems. The first one is inspired by Scott, IArtman.

Merry Christmas Wishes

Lovely cards and gorgeous tree
I wish a Merry Christmas to thee
lots of good wishes
and delicious holiday dishes
capped off with a splendid New Year
full of happiness and good cheer!

Another poem below, which is inspired by Carol.

Everyones Gift From the Heavenly Boy

Happy holidays are here
bringing much family near
pitching in with food, presents, and song
having fun all the day and night long

Is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy
is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy

Conversations filled with mirth
while we all laughingly increase our girth
pleasant memories made all together
and rememberances of other Decembers

Is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy
is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy

Remininces of children on Santa's knee
and old ones now gone to eternity
watching old and new favorites on TV
while people play games enjoyably

Is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy
is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy

Usually the weather is cold
but one is never too old
to celebrate a grand mystery
of an infant's miraculous nativity

Is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy
Is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy

This is the day where we gift one another
and call all humanity our sister and brother
with no thinking of calamity or fear
this one special day of the year

Is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy
is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy

Kisses and love and laughter abound
smiles and hugs given all around
new memories made and photos are taken
all grievances are for this day forsaken

Is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy
is everyones gift from the Heavenly Boy

Peace, love, good will and joy
is everyone's gift from the Heavenly Boy
all throughout the world on Christmas Day
He wouldn't have it any other way

This poem is inspired by Richard-Sprogger, who sweetly wished me a Happy Christmas in a very old way.

Irish Christmas Wishes

"Nollaig Shona Duit," said Richard with his Irish brogue
and he comes up with sweet wishes very old
of holly and ivy and something to drink
so we all will be merrier, I think
at celebrations near and far
while all looking for the holiday star
or angels or deer with an Elf from afar
viewing the same sky wherever we are
all of us on this Earth look up on this night
to see if we could, the angels or deer in flight
Merry Christmas, in every language it sounds fine
a wish of good blessings, such a fine line
could stand all by itself and mean so much
but better when given with hugs and kisses, a bunch
so Merry Christmas back at you I say
have a marvelous, blessed, and healthful day!

Verse Two inspired by Carol! It follows here and is made its own poem and slightly revamped above. So this is the first edit, so to speak.
