About Madame Curie
Marie Sklodowska-Curie was a scientist who worked in Paris, France. She died from radiation poisoning as she is credited with being the discoveror of radiation, along with her husband. She, her husband, and her daughter are all Nobel Prize Laureates. She was the first person to win or share TWO Nobel Prizes.
"In an unusual decision, Skłodowska-Curie intentionally refrained from patenting the radium-isolation process so that the scientific community could do research unhindered." Marie was a true scientist who wanted all scientist to benefit from her work so more discoveries could be made to benefit the world. She could have made a lot of money!
