Want to Screw Up Your Soon-to-be Wife When She Is Marching Down the Aisle?

, , , ...

This song was written by Derek Bourgeois so his bride would have difficulty keeping step marching up the aisle during the ceremony. What a bratty thing to do to a bride!

My youngest son loves this song and asked me to post it here and on YouTube so he can tell his friends to hear it.

Conducted by Max Jones.

Music at Purdue

Well, it got on You Tube! Despite the file not playing on my compy, it does on the You Tube.
To celebrate here is a PURDUE FACTOID

FACTOID: Purdue has more students from various Foreign countries than any other college or university in the USA, according to my kids. They hang a flag in the Union representing where students come from, and that is all crowded.

Oh, I just posted a really marvelous video on MetaCafe since it was too long for You Tube and I don't have programs, apparently, to shorten it. It features Conductor Max Jones and a young guitarist and The Concert Band playing Chaos Theory. It is just too cool! You have to see this. The link is below in the post.

Happy Me!

Hey all you Opera friends!!! Hope you are all fine.

This has been a busy three days for me.

Day one, get ready for day two.

Day two, bring high schoolers to MHS. Pack up car with supplies Spee needs. Drive to Purdue.

On the way to Purdue, look for autumn. Strange, the road I was taking at one point had huge signs that said, "Detour, road closed"; however, these signs were not on the road but on the greenery between the opposing highways and on the side of the road! Since they weren't on the road blocking egress, and there was no road crew there, I just went on.

Found some Indian Lemonaide plants, instead. They are so cool! Haven't seen them outside of a few State Parks! Here they are, little groves of them, alongside the highway. Here is a pic of one.

Here is a small copse.

Aren't they unusual. If you boil the berries, it does taste like lemonaide!

So I continued onward. Came to Purdue campus. Pulled into the parking lot by Ross-Ade Stadium to take a picture of the famous Boilermaker statue. This is what it looked like:

Nervously watching my car, so I wouldn't get a ticket since I didn't have a parking pass; quickly taking photos. Hopped back into the car. Here is another view of the Boilermaker.

Since Purdue is in a river valley, there are hills. Not too far away is the famous Wabash River which is mentioned in Indiana's State Song. There were some very nice trees; but just like at my house, some bug is killing trees there! As a consequence of this bug, the trees loose their leaves so viewing the autumnal colors is difficult. Look at this pic, see the tree has half color and half no leaves as a result of the infestation! Parked in the student lot, watched out for Campus Police, ran out of car, took pics, hopped back into car. Students were in classes, so the lot had spaces; but rush-rush!!!!!

Oh, this is the famous architectural Inverted Horn on the Hill where the Marching Band and Baton Twirlers and cheerleaders perform before football games; and performing before they do, the Purdue Jazz Band and Jazz Singers!! This reminds me of Stonehege. What do you think?

Found a parking space and actually parallel-parked. Haven't done that in ages! Thank goodness it wasn't a tight spot!!! Brought Number One Son his supplies and took him shopping. It was so weird, the street near his dorm had those orange traffic barrels on the street, but enough room for you to travel through them, there was no sign or people directing you what to do. So Spee and I talked about it and turned the other way down the street!

He is fun to shop with. He tries things on, knows exactly what he wants, gets it, and we laugh at the funny Purdue hats that sing the fight song!

Next went out to luncheon at Applebee's Restaurant. Had a very enjoyable meal, good food, excellent company. Miss my son!! He is so easy to talk to, always tells me about what is up with him, how he is feeling, what he is worried about, has funny stories. Spee is very engaging. He is a man, now, and not worried about "apron strings". Yippee!!! He kissed me on the cheek and hugged me and said he misses me, too. I am so proud!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a picture of the "stealth building" across from Applebees. It is funny, two pyramidal type buildings are right across the street from one another here. I didn't get a photo of the other one, due to traffic.

Spee is off on a little weekend trip. Will I ever stop worrying about my children???????

My next blog will continue this story. Coming up, Karl on crutches and Amanda with the Color Guard at Homecoming Football Game. Amanda gets together with some friends to go to Homecomeing Dance!! Photos will be included!!! Okay???????

Take care!!!
