Thank you wickedlizard it's very poignant. Yesterday I was talking to a dear friend and she asked if I was going to have another child. I didn't answer her right away and she just nodded and said "I understand not wanting to...the world is in such a sad place". Really it was just what I was thinking.

I wonder if the world wouldn´t become even sadder without children?

Yes it would and they are of course our greatest asset and hope. However it is also nature to want only the best for them and the state of the world is well...in need.
