okay, so i've been told to make a blog, so here it is. i was going to make a blogspot one, but blogspot won't open (damn it). now that i've got that out of the way, here comes the real stuff. my name's mark, i'm 16 and i live in Rhode Island. I attend private school and i'm a junior (class of 2009). this will be the place for me to jot down my "inner workings," as a friend has put it.
welcome to my blog. i may or may not post in here regularly, depending on my schedule and homework load.
so some basic stuff about me: i have three dogs (two of which are in the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miLccGYuUIA ), i aspire to be a Civil Engineer. i have a sister, mom and dad, and many great friends, about which you will hear many stories. I am a red sox and patriots fan , and also support the celtics and bruins.
everything that can be said about what happened that day, why it happened, how it happened, what happened afterward, and all that jazz has already been said and reiterated so may times already. i don't feel any need to re-reiterate it. everyone already knows. everyone, well, most everyone, still remembers.
that being said, during video presentation this morning "put together by ACTS XVII," chills did go down my spine. the next step would have been tears. but i don't cry over things often. especially past events. the last time i cried over an event was the death of a close family friend, gosh, two ears back now, and before that i believe it was seven years ago today. at about this time at night.
well, here are some pictures from that day. i don't want to call them "my favorites" or "most memorable" because none are my favorite and all were memorable, but these are the ones that had the deepest, most profound impact on me.
and so many countless others.
let us not forget the past, as we look to the future with hope for a better world in which to live.
well, we (my family) are on our way to disney world. it's about 1300 miles to get there, so we're doing it in three legs. puling a travel trailer.
i write this from a campground near harrisonburg, virginia. there is nothing here but farmland, corn, hay, and mountains. and interstate 81. 550 miles in one day is tough: 10 hours of sitting i na pickup truck actually takes a toll on you.
we didn't really see anything interesting today. maybe something tomorrow?
tomorrow (where i will hopefully write from, too) we're staying in walterboro, south carolina, almost the same length. then its 330 miles to disney.
...of facebook "new phone" groups. i can kind of understand "i lost my phone" ones, but it's just riciculous.
a) isn't is just as easy to transfer the numbers over from the old phone? b) if you really need the numbers, just ask the people c) quit taking up my newsfeed with your pointless groups
....and yes, i just wanted something to rant about
are there any movies you guys are looking forward to this year?
I've seen Cloverfield, 21, Jumper, and Iron Man...all decent films
I look forward to seeing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, The Happening, and The Dark Knight.
Well, we know how the Patriots flopped, but the Bruins made the playoffs, the Red Sox won the World Series, and the celtics are a game away from become 17-time champs. a good year to be a new england sports fan
now until june 26- hang out and maybe do some summer reading
june 26 to july 9ish- have a blast at disney
july 9 to end of august- get a job, actually get my summer reading done and out of the way, make money, hang out with my friends, help my dad out with yard work, maybe do some projects around the house, and have a good time
re: your profile pic- too bad McCain spent the entirety of the last debate ignoring the issues and saying Obama was running a negative campaign against him...
