Merry Fucking Christmas

1) Tradition. We've had Christmas Dinner at our house for at least 16 years, and I always look forward to seeing my cousins and, frankly, being in control of them. When we have dinner here, my older cousin doesn't boss us around, i can tell my little brat of a little cousin off, and I can do what i want, and everyone seems happier.
2) Me hearing about it. instead of just telling me outright about this, i have to overhear it in a phone conversation. had I not heard the news then, it would have probable been thanksgiving dinner yesterday, and i would have asked about it and looked like a moron.
3) Her reasons. She claims that "we have too many commitments." when i shoved it in her face that i'm only out two nights a week (RIPYWE and horn lesson, the latter is with my sister) she suddenly changed her story to her having to fight me about homework. It's my SISTER who's out every night!!!
4) Why she did it. A "lack of time and business" doesn't cut it. if she spent the time energy she uses bitching at me to do something around the house, it would look exponentially better. also, the Christmas vacation this year is longer than most, and has time beforehand, where we could get stuff done (especially cleaning).
5) Another party. we always have a party on New Years Day, too. when i asked her about us still having that party, she indicated that we would still have it. if we can't get the house in order for Christmas, what makes her think that it will be okay for New Years?
The bottom line is that her reasons suck and she's being a moron about it.
